Been watching these on viaplay extra channel on sky some great matches but coverage seems to end a couple of mins before the finish 🙁 I noticed the same thing with EuroCup on BT Sport. UK broadcasters can’t believe how long European basketball games can take. The referees are more concerned with being perfectionists than letting the game flow.

To be honest I thought that watching some of London Lions Eurocup matches this season. I remember when they played Gran Canaria at home and they took forever checking the VAR even for very miscule things.

The referee saw an unsportsmanlike foul and rushed in to prevent a fight. Then he wanted to watch it again several times from every angle. Why can’t he just make the call and if there’s anything more to it that can be dealt with after the game? I honestly don’t know what their problem is.

Well as I mentioned on here mid way through the BBL Season. During the Christmas match between Riders and Giants on Sky I remember both Rowe and Dan mentioned the BBL were considering bringing in VAR. Whilst I am in favour of it especially after some poor officiating decisions this season. I seriously hope that it doesn't get over used and it takes a whole chuffing Quarter to make there mind up about a call.

As long as the officials are honest any mistakes will even out over the season. Maybe have VAR in the final as the stakes are higher.

Fantastic final. It could have gone either way. There was nothing between the teams. Either team could have won it. But if anyone wants to know how to play centre they should watch this game. Edy Tavares is so good. Not just under the basket. He sets so many screens and totally takes defenders out of the game.

Seems like it, asides from the BBL and the NBA I never tend to watch much of the Euroleague stuff. I think I only watched the Final 4 once once on TV in 2013 I think when it was in London. And to be honest it didn't really attract a big crowd despite being in the UK. I think I seen more of an audience at some regular season BBL domestic league matches. I suppose not having it on TV this weekend didn't exactly help although I wonder if 10 years on and with the BBL said to be growing would it possibly get a better backing now in the UK?

Euroleague is non-existent in the UK media. BBC Sport website doesn't even mention it.
