The O2 needed to employ the Phoenix volunteers who tape our court. The lines are clear and no mix ups with the 3 point lines there.

Enjoyable day out yesterday despite the result. 777 even have the rings on their side after that loving 3 which would have cut to 2 went halfway down before bouncing out.
The missed free throws was the most disappointing thing and no real excuse for this but 10000+ plus booing must be different to a few hundred as would normally be the case.
Excellent turn out and noise from the riders fans as usual

But that Loving 3 pointer in the closing minute... how that didn't go in I don't know! Leicester thoroughly deserved those 3 points. Unlucky.

How do people think clubs will feel about the fact that for the next few years no matter who makes the final against London they will be up against a club with a huge home court advantage?

It did give London an unfair advantage in the old British Basketball All Stars Championship event (although they only won it 1 of the 2 years it took place there). But given no team is overly familiar with the O2 arena it's really just a question of how advantageous is it having the (vast) majority of the crowd on your side. Having said that, I can't see the Play Off Final being moved outside of London to a neutral location geographically. And neither do I think it should be. So I suppose it is what it is.

It's the year of " one shot could change everything" and in the case of Davd Sloan it certainly did.

I'm still struggling to order/process my thoughts on the game (I might have to watch it back), but this was absolutely ridiculous. I couldn't believe how visible both lines were.

When your the leagues best 3 point and free throw shooting team and these don’t drop for you then your going to struggle to win the game.
I personally thought we tried to hard to actually physically put the ball in the basket and I mean constantly going for lay up after layup. I had a chat with the legend that is Tony Windless at half time, We both agreed that Riders needed to try more pull up jumpers as we were struggling to get past Lions big men. Particularly Sharma who had everyone in his back pocket.
I actually enjoyed watching the ball movement of the Lions, it’s great to watch good teams. Anyway we didn’t lay down and fizzle out with a whimper, we gave the Lions a bloody good go and yes if Lovings 3 had have dropped then yes we maybe talking about a different result.
Congratulations to all involved at Lions, deserved winners on the day. We will return hopefully bigger and stronger and have another crack at bringing the golden ball home.
My only gripe of the day was the staff at the bars in the O2 are definitely not on bonus, they are so bloody slow just serving drinks, Two years in a row now that I’ve completely missed the half time show just to get a bloody drink.

Yes, long term plan is to have the Final as a 'best of 3' series too, but it was conceded that is likely years away (if ever). Until then The O2 is very much the home of the Play Off Final, with next years date already confirmed. My opinion, we'll see teams that really challenge London before we see a 'best of 3' series Final, especially if each of those 3 games are to be held at The O2 or similar sized arenas.
