We need to maintain discipline and get some payback for tonight's defeat. Mackenzie can't play 40 minutes and Love didn't help the team at all. That's pretty bad for a USA import PG. Three point shooting has to improve compared with tonight.

We'll need Whelan to be in good form but his recent injury has clearly taken a toll. Agree that Adekoya's return is important to the team, especially in defence.

Sloppy 7 point giveaway by riders at end of the half as 10 lead became 3. Eagles got some foul trouble hopefully we turn up for the 2nd half today

Scrappy game but in Q4 we began to get shooters free for good looks. Loving shot well. Reffing was poor I thought with too many fouls missed.

Reffing was poor I thought with too many fouls missed. another poor reffing performance seems to be a common factor in bbl games refs at nix game tonight we’re awful too they have no one to answer to the league will never improve while this is happening supposedly a professional league over the last couple of years it’s got progressively worse |

The first unsportsmanlike for Cohn was a an absolutely terrible call. The refs have been dogshit in this game today. Totally spoiled any chance of a flow and blown for practically any contact.
Both teams were on the receiving end, so it didn't affect the final result. It really feels like some refs are there to sap any kind of fun out of the game.

Well on Friday night I felt the better team won.
And again I would say the same again today despite this being a decent performance from the Eagles, the Riders played a lot better today and had us in the 4th.
I felt as soon as we lost Cohn (who was excellent until the ejection) the game was going to be difficult to comeback in.
Although I'm surprised Marc didn't think to call a time out at that point either in order to figure out who could step up.
I think the 3 ball was our salvation today and I'm surprised Riders didn't defend better on the arc.
But overall despite the loss I was pleased to see a competitive game especially between Eagles and Riders.
One thing I feel the BBL needs is this rivalry to be competitive and these past 2 games felt just like it.
Interestingly if this was a 2 leg playoff game the score also would have been 174-171 in favour of Riders too.
So who knows if we meet up in the playoffs perhaps we might be able to take you's.
But getting atleast 1 win out of 2 over Leicester I will take it.
As for the officials today I noticed Rowe and Dan have been quite critical of them even from a neutral perspective.
As they were shocked at calls against both sides.
I agree Cohns first unsportman was ridiculous and unnecessary.
The 2nd one though was correct although just like when Ovie Soko was ejected for a similar play at the start of the season on Sky.
I hate it that last man foul is an automatic unsportman as I feel as unless it is vicious or extremely unfriendly play.
It should only be a common foul but unfortunately I didn't write the Fiba Rule book.
