GSW looking pretty unstoppable atm in terms of both offence and defence. Looking very good for them. Easily beat Dallas. Looking forward to the finals games. Ought to be a cracking series.

Imagine aging your star players, putting them through horrific injuries then swapping one the best ever players for Andrew wiggins and still being a championship team

It reminds me a bit of the 90s Bulls when Jordan came back after missing nearly 2 seasons. This is the Warriors 6th final in 8 years, same as happened with the Bulls. This time it was Klay and to a lesser extent, Curry that missed the time and the Dubs dropped right down (didn't they finish dead last 2 years ago?). I fancy them to win this title now. It's very impressive and will go to show again that KD, as good as he is, was piggy backing on the true Warriors legends who have done this since 2015.

Think Heat are so banged up now that Boston will probably take the 7th game to make the playoff series. Heroic effort by Miami to beat Boston and Butler was phenomenal. These semifinals have been great to watch.

Jimmy Buckets is such a warrior, if you'll pardon the pun! I'd really like to see him get a ring, he deserves it. He put in 47 points and willed the team to victory despite the injury he's dealing with - that's Jordanesque. Should be a fantastic game 7 just because this series has been so unpredictable. Really feels like now it could go either way. I'll settle for 100-99 with a last second make or miss shot either way!😀

Just watched the Boston v Miami game, great game thought Boston would take it at 97 all but Miami always had the edge….

Interesting game 7 in the end - bet Miami wish they hadn't started off so slow! Tough break for Jimmy Buckets missing that 3. However, I did kind of favour the C's all along and think they'll present the better challenge to GS, so happy with the outcome. It's also quite fitting that the new trophies, named after Bob Cousy and Larry Bird, have gone to Boston in their first year.
On to the finals now!

Cant believe they've made that an award though, in the grand scheme of things it's pointless.
The trophy should be named after lebron though. If it had existed since his start hed have 10 of them right now

I agree the new MVPs in particular are a bit of a stretch, obviously they already had the conference trophies so its just adding a name to them which is fair enough. The problem will come in the future when there are no trophies left to name after the current greats! Even MJ hasn't got one after him at the moment and I don't really see any left that could be named after him.

Looking for this to be a key year for OKC, not only the 2nd pick but 3 picks in the first round. It was 4 but we traded one to Denver. OKC has obviously stockpiled picks over the next few years but this is the one where Sam Presti can select a really key piece for the future - hopefully by next year progress will be being made and the pick will be somewhere lower (still a lottery pick, obviously). Presti has done it before, drafting Durant, Westbrook and Harden and he's also made some other really good moves over the years, but it just hasn't quite worked out and delivered a title. This marks the start of his next go-round (well, acquiring all those picks was really the start but as I say, this is his chance to bring in a future all star and get things moving forward again).
I dont know much about the players in the draft but have read there is no clear cut 1st pick this year, but 5 or 6 really hot prospects and an all around deep draft, so that sounds promising.

Interesting, Jay Bilas on PTI thinks the Magic are taking Holmgren tonight but everyone else has them taking Smith.
To be honest I'm hoping they take Smith and Holmgren comes to OKC. From what I've heard and read, which admittedly is limited, Holmgren has the most upside and is more NBA ready now. Smith fits with what Orlando need apparently but I'm quite surprised he's the favourite for first pick. If Holmgren is the better player, what happened to selecting the best player regardless of position?
Either way it's a familiar spot for OKC and Sam Presti. I remember them saying in 2007, "Sam Presti with the easiest pick in draft history" as Oden went first, leaving KD for Seattle. Think he's going to have an easy time of it again tonight, at least until the 12th pick!

Big surprise as Banchero goes first! It isn't often we get surprised with the first pick. I was relieved/happy that OKC still went for Holmgren 2nd and not Smith. I just have a good feeling about him for the future. It was quite funny too, as Smith was so confident he would go 1st or 2nd, he only worked out for those two teams! Houston picked him anyway in 3rd, be interesting to see how it pans out and whether Orlando made the right choice.

Not to be confused with this fella: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikola_Jovi%C4%87 Meanwhile it's officially imploded at the Nets as KD has requested a trade. Seems like no one wants to play with Kyrie, which is ironic given most of the time he doesn't play anyway. Be interesting to see where Durant ends up - apparently he's keen on Phoenix and Miami, but what would they have to give up to get him? Phoenix almost certainly would trade Ayton but the Nets would want more than that. Miami probably lose Herro and Bam, I imagine they'll put everyone except Jimmy Buckets on the table. Not sure I could see Buckets and KD working though. Or how about trading him to the Lakers for Westbrook and a few other pieces? LeBron and KD on the same team, now that would be worth watching!

Interesting that Jovic was born in Leicester, and that his father (Illja) was playing in the UK, wonder if he was playing at Riders?
