I think it's shocking Mockford still manages to stay in the squad despite seriously underperforming on one of the worst BBL squads and having an awful EuroBasket.
I understand the need to have veterans on the squad, but I think we have to be looking elsewhere for that now.

Where is Jordan Ratinho ?
I was given to understand that the league allowed him to be classified as a non-import player so that he could play internationally for GB.

Ratinho has a Portuguese passport : no GB eligibility
Kyle Johnson is the leading scoring British player in the BBL at nearly 15ppg.

Where is Jordan Ratinho ? I was given to understand that the league allowed him to be classified as a non-import player so that he could play internationally for GB. Would he come under the naturalised player rule (ie obtained a British passport after aged 16)? My understanding is each nation is only allowed one of these, and normally this is used on T Philip but it looks like the spot is being used on Sharma or Mackenzie for this window (Please anyone correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not 100% on this) |

As an Eagles fan even I agree with you there despite saving the day for us against Sheffield he hasn't really done anything to warrant his place this time in the national squad if you ask me. But it was announced due to his injury I don't think Mockford will be playing anyway this time round. Although it's nice to see Kyle Johnson back in the fold and quite a few BBL players other then Lions getting a shout this time. But given theirs nothing to play for this time round other than pride I'm not surprised if some of them turned it down. |

Nice to see Yeboah in and Teddy O back from injury. I assume a lot of players will turn down the call up instead of travelling to play a meaningless game. I'm also guessing our one naturalised player spot will be used on Sharma, so any of the other are there to attend training camp only.
One things for sure GB aren't very good without their A Team of Tarik/Teddy, Nelson, Soko, Hesson, Olaseni.
Does anybody know what's happened to Kavell Bigby Williams?

Would you work together in the community with a person you viewed as disgraced? anyway - one not available = opportunity for someone else to show they are the future |
