Fantasy Coach

Hi guys I had another one of my for fun thoughts the other day and thought I would ask the board the following.

If you could pick any other sports coach, celebrity, fictional character or historical person.
That has no experience as a basketball coach or player who would you pick and why?

Would you go for a famous actor like Sylvester Stallone or Mel Gibson?
A cartoon/fictional character like Kermit the Frog.
Or someone historical like Henry the 8th or Napoleon Bonaparte.

Obviously actors who have played basketball coaches in flims like Samuel Jackson or Ben Affleck can count.
It's so long as they haven't done any real life proffessional basketball coaching or playing.

I look forward to seeing what answers people throw out here.

I'd pick myself to coach an OKC Thunder team! Sure I'd be crap at it but it would be a great experience. Although I don't actually fulfil the criteria as a sports person, fictional character or celebrity!

In which case I would pick Peter Jones from Dragons Den because he has a canny knack of being able to adapt to and understand different environments and what it takes to be successful. So many times he shows within minutes he understands people's business better than they do, so I reckon he could apply that to basketball and find ways to get the team playing together well. He'd be a good motivator as well. And he's really tall so he might have played a bit back in the day, although his main thing was tennis.

In which case I would take Wesley Snipes and they can do battle from the sidelines. Woody's team playing like 5 John Stocktons, Wesley's team wanting to look good first, win second.

And he'd have a few million behind him to compete with Lions!
