Rahmon Fletcher... The solution to all life's problems. According to every British basketball forum that's ever existed anyway. Personally, I reckon if Eagles had Fletcher instead of Cohn they'd still be stinking. Cohn actually looks to be playing pretty well now. I actually quite like Cohn, and don't think it's his fault this team is terrible. Like I say, I don't think replacing him with Fletch would make much difference. The front court and perimeter defence is what's absolutely killing us. As good as Hamlet is offensively, he's a liability on the other end. The front court has been a mess since pre season, tough for a PG to do anything with that.......

I agree with you, although Cohn gets a bit of stick and makes errors I think him and Hamlet hook up quite well together. And French has been one hell of a big man for us as well.

Cohn is the worst starting PG in the league in my opinion (when Andrew Lawrence is fit anyway). The standard now is guys like Larry Austin and Mike Miller who can do far more on both ends then Cohn. That's not to say there isn't potential there if he can develop his game over a few seasons if he gets the time.

Even if Eagles had the best PG in BBL they would still struggle with this squad Whoever suggested that signing Gordon would make Eagles the third best team In BBL must be shaking their head now They are still one of the worst squads

I think the starting 5 is probably top 5, but the bench is absolutely horrific. There are too many players who seem to think they should be starting, and playing off the bench is beneath them. At this point, I'd rather see Louis Sayers (who is at least professional, and happy to play a role) coming off the bench than Kennedy or D.Johnson. Particularly Johnson, as he seems to be one of the most petulant players I've ever seen at the Eagles. As Dave F said on SNB, he seems to have spat the dummy with Gordon taking his starting spot and refused to play defence on Friday. All very frustrating, as they aren't far away. Again hopefully something Steutel has learned from, and will implement in his recruitment for next year.

Denz was good at Raiders last year, D Johnson has great pedigree and did OK at Giants, Mockford is Mockford and Kennedy has totally checked out but is obviously a decent player from his performances earlier in the year. Depth only gets you so far though, I don't think using all 10 players every game is smart at all.. That's on the coach. But he's a rookie coach, I hope he's learned some valuable lessons to take into next season. I still think this squad is individually far better than the sum of its parts. (Again put that on the inexperienced coach)

(Again put that on the inexperienced coach) Yeah, agree with that. That's why I was alluding to Sayers, as he was a willing role player who contributed to winning (at least in his first season with us!). If there was a BBL 2K I think we'd have a decent squad, up there with the top 4 teams. It's not like that though and players aren't robots. If Kennedy and Johnson are able to get out of their own way and be willing to contribute we'd be good. I don't think Mockford is capable of contributing at all, and he's shown pretty much what he showed at Bristol and Cheshire. He's not suited to the BBL, is the kindest way I can put it. I'd like to see more of Ubiaro and see if we can perhaps play to some of his strengths that he displayed at Plymouth when he's on court. It goes to show how valuable players like Washington and Mckenzie are at Leicester. Both were happy to play second fiddle to Crandall and be stars in their role coming off the bench. No coincidence that was one of the best teams to ever play in the BBL. Not all players are intelligent enough to do that and not all coaches are able to persuade players to do that either. Rob P obviously is, maybe Steutel will learn to identify that in players.

Cohn averaging 10.6points, 6.4 assists (2nd in league last time I looked) on 50/40/83 shooting percentages in comparison mike miller averaging 9ppg, 5 assist on 40/31/53 shooting percentages.
And Cohn has had to deal with an ever changing roster. Whoever describes him as the worst pg in the league needs his head shaking.
