Let's hope Howard has somewhere to go!

Unfortunate loss for Eagles after a good start, although Manchester couldn't have been much worse in 1st. Good to see French being more aggressive and scoring, his shot is awful but doesn't matter when you get your own rebounds! Eagles struggling from 3 again, stats somewhat not telling the whole picture after Hamlet made a few in a row when the game was pretty much gone. Another classic Steutel coaching knack up of bring all the backup players on when up big and loosing all momentum.

I wish Howard well if he's poorly, but much prefer Dan's commentary - just telling us the referee's calls is a big improvement. French was superb tonight and just who we need to take the pressure off Darius. Kyle J and then Hamlet had purple patches in Q4 that got the capacity crowd going, but as usual, it was too little too late. If Donovan J and Cohn were playing a bit less frantically, it might have been different...

What the hell goes on between the Giants ears? About the 5th game in a row where they give up around 30 in Q1. And that last five has to be some of the sloppiest basketball ever. Sure, a 20 point lead is very comfortable but giving Eagles a look and needing Dirk to hit all the foul shots is bordering on unforgivable. If Vince doesn’t light them up I imagine Dave F will on Sunday Giants were let off the hook tonight by coaching decisions from the Eagles bench. No doubt in my mind about that, Giants won't win many games playing like that.

Thoroughly pissed off that our coaching team decided this was a game we could throw away by playing TEN players tonight. Eagles went out to a great start and lost all the momentum trying to cram minutes in for players that don't deserve it.
They have to choose between either Mockford or Ubiaro to come in and replace the guards. I'm dead certain that Eagles would've won tonight if they'd gone with a rotation of 7-8 rather than 10. We basically threw that game by pissing about experimenting with lineups.
That game was there for the taking and we gave Giants all the momentum in the second quarter with shocking perimeter defense for the second week in a row. The naivety is beyond shocking, how can you just stand and watch Dirk Williams shoot warm up threes?
Seriously hope that was a wake up call and the rotation is trimmed accordingly. I almost wish Eagles hadn't come back so strong, as the happy clappers can just go 'unlucky, we go again'.
Refs were awful again as well. 2 offensive fouls called on a perfectly set screen, one for Manchester one for us. Then an inability to administer the rules correctly when Giants in bound the ball with 6 players on the court. What should be a technical for Giants ends up being against us. Every week now they're sapping my enjoyment of games........

Perfect summary erj. My thoughts entirely.
Eagles starters a combined +/- of +33. Kennedy & Donovan Johnson played 24 mins between them & we’re a combined -39. And Mockford contributes nowt.
Sunday in Bristol could be painful, but with this lot you never know.

Unfortunately the injury cast a shadow over a solid team performance and one of menzies best game. The fight for the rebound followed by the and one stuff was memorable.
Best wishes to devonte hopefully not as bad as it looked. We heard all about the shooting but it was the vision glimpses last night that were impressive

Just want to say that Simon Unsworth was a complete muppet last night….

Speaking of muppets did anyone see the posters for GB v Belgium at the VMA last night ? They must have looked up countries beginning with “BEL” and came up with GB v Belarus ! Would that even be allowed ?

If Bandoo's injury is season ending will Riders be able to replace him (assuming the club has insurance) or do we have to cope as best we can with the remaining players?

I believe there is a limit on the number of new permit player registrations per season (9?)- as discussed on SNB in the context of Lions, and also a 'transfer deadline' (end of Feb?). Rob burned through a lot of import guards at the start of the season but assume is still under the limit as Walker, Mackenzie, Adekoya etc also have Brit passports

So that leaves Riders with three more registrations. I’m not sure if Crandall was ever registered or not.

Is there a remote chance that Thornton’s plane home has been delayed…

Plymouth are horrific, you dont realise how much williams carried them! Sorry to hear about the new riders guys, horrible luck I'm spotting a theme for games in Glasgow. Beat Plymouth cause one player carried them (though I think he played near all the game when we beat them back in December) Beat Sharks cause coach and Glasgow Jr had poor games Beat Phoenix cause they did not play decent D Beat Eagles cause they dont have last seasons PG going back further beat Riders was due to issues with Riders I guess other team fans on here just dont think they lose because Gareth is doing a decent job with the hand he had been dealt - players out injured, players left the club, players sitting out as they commit silly fouls and are on 3 and 4 too quickly. He has put in place a culture and style that is working at home and just need to be adjusted for the roadtrips now.

Glads have been good value for their wins over Eagles this season. I actually thought Eagles made harder work than they should have of beating them in Newcastle at Christmas. It proved how signing hungry rookies might be a better option than the supposed 'solid pros' we have at Newcastle I think Gareth Murray is doing a quality job with them, and has improved them every year he's been coach. That's a great trajectory to have. It'll be interesting to see how it goes next season with their (supposed) bigger budget.

Not taking anything away from Glasgow, Plymouth are terrible. Williams made them ok thats all

Loving, Jackson and Nelson-Henry are all classed as foreigners/permits.
Our three PGs were CJ Jackson, Thornton and Bandoo.
(If you include Crandall in that list then that amounts to seven registrations so far).
Is the registration limit just for foreigners/permits OR all players (GB)? (I was wondering if Menzies is included in that list)

Quote "24.7 During the course of a season, any Club may license a maximum of 9 non-national players"
... and Bandoo is Canadian so qualifies as a British national player
