The game is on right now on BBC 3 and Robbie P is on commentary. To be honest I wonder if these games are test pilot matches for BBC 3.
I mean looking at that channel after about 11pm-12am they tend to just show reruns from what was on earlier. Having a live NBA match on freeview TV on that channel sort of makes sense since it wouldn't clash with any other major sport in the evening.

I’m watching it on Sky Sports Arena. But only because I’m having technical difficulties. The commentators are American but the presenters are British; Jaydee Dyer and Mo Mooncey. I believe Ovie is there with the BBC. I definitely think having British commentators makes basketball more appealing to a British audience. I won’t criticise the BBC for putting this game on and covering it properly. Bear in mind, this game is in Paris. London doesn’t get an NBA Game. This is a big occasion.

Heat @ Bucks available on iPlayer. Just as well as my recording appears incomplete.

This is the best thing for the NBA since channel 4 was showing it. Now if they'd just bring back NBA Raw and 24/7!

This is the best thing for the NBA since channel 4 was showing it. Now if they'd just bring back NBA Raw and 24/7! Apparently the BBC are going to do an end of season review programme, but I agree, it would be great is there was a weekly review show (like ITV's The NFL Show) to accompany the BBC's occasional live games.

Hopefully it might follow next season if they want to stay committed to the NBA and build the audience!

Hopefully it might follow next season if they want to stay committed to the NBA and build the audience! I hope so. Although I think it’s as much the NBA being committed to giving away/subsidising content to build a following (much like the NFL have done for years now) as it is the BBC being committed to it.

Yeah but to have it on bbc1 is massive, it'd be easy for them to tuck it away on iPlayer or as initially thought, bbc3.
Thing is, at that time of night it's actually the perfect thing to show, it'd only be repeats or crappy dramas on otherwise and I think there'll be loads of people up late channel surfing who will stop on the NBA when they see it's on.

Good game last week, I thought it was going to be a dull one-sided affair when Brooklyn were down by 28 in Q2, but instead we had the biggest comeback of the NBA season so far with Brooklyn going on to beat Boston by 10.
Also great to see Coach Rob putting in a shift, coaching Leicester in the Sky Sports game and then hot footing it up to Salford afterwards to still do NBA comms on the BBC.

Here's a full lengthy feature from the channel 4 days showing the 1998 all star game. The pre-show where they take a look back at the history of the game and the dunk contest is really interesting. And it's funny hearing Amaechi talking about the Sharks at the beginning!
This is the kind of thing I'd like to see the beeb develop in time on top of just showing the action!

Fantastic game on bbc3 this evening between Dallas and Denver - great advert for the sport and on at prime time rather than 1am. A hard fought, well played contest that was nip and tuck all the way, with a ridiculous ending! Hopefully that should gain a few new fans.
