We should be improved with Bandoo on board. Going to have to be better in the front court though because Giants are going to pose a challenge on the boards.

We've been weak on the boards ever since Mo's injury, DNH in particular doesn't seem interested in challenging for rebounds, and this has to improve.
I hope both the new signings will help in this area.

Just been looking at the past 4 seasons of the trophy….
Riders have been knocked out in the first round in each of the last 4 seasons

Don't know why there's nothing on here yet about tonight's games, but Giants v Riders looks an overtime epic, with the shallow Giants bench telling in the end. Vince already has Williams and Fletch top of the BBL average minutes played list, with Lee not far behind, so hopefully they'll still be knackered at the VMA next Friday

Phew, that was another tight one ... Bandoo looked good early on, sinking 3 three pointers (though only one counted).
Once again, DNH did not have a good game and without the three musketeers, Loving Jackson and Whelan, we'd have lost this game.
I don't understand why Connor was given so many minutes court time, without any clear benefits for the team.
Hopefully Rob will learn to trust Bandoo quickly and he will get more court time than Connor.

Not surprised that Bandoo played limited minutes given he only recently arrived. More concerned about DNH tbh. Hoping his dip in form lately ends soon. He has been excellent for Riders over several years so not too worried. |

Giants may only play 6 but they are capable of putting up big scores and they defend the rim well. Defeating them on their court with only Loving shooting so well in Q1 & Q2 deserves praise. Fortunately, Whelan. Jackson & Mackenzie stepped up big time in the second half.

How do we define “playing 6”? Is 15 minutes the cut off? If that’s the criteria probably most teams play 6. If it’s 10 minutes Giants played 7. Might be a bit skewed by the OT though.

Riders played well, but they really need Bandoo up and running and DNH on form for the final. The games I watched last season he was excellent.

So onto one of the other games played!!
I was a bit surprised at the level of the Hoods team, played some good team basketball matching Nix for the first few minutes. Even then though the speed of the Nix constantly caught the Hoods out, Nix being a couple of steps ahead all the time. An amazing shooting performance from us couldn't believe how many of those 3 point shots dropped. Looking at our squad we have 6/7 all capable of taking the outside attempt, 21 going down last night even without Neighbour.
Two games to go to reach another Trophy final and on last night's performance we could see another invasion from Nix fans wearing that distinctive " Glasgow Green"!!!
