Well I said I hope the Eagles can make a good run in the Trophy.
Judging by recent form this competition maybe an opportunity to build back some momentum.
We beat Glads afew weeks ago but I expect this to be another tight affair especially after our last match up.
Can lighting strike twice for Surrey and upset Bristol once more?
Bristol at home though may not favour Scorchers as Flyers seem to have a lot more luck when they are at home.
As for Derby vs Wales I don't really know much about either team but would probably lean towards Derby since previous Basketball Wales teams over the years have failed to even slightly impress me.

Well another woeful Eagles performance.
Definitely beaten by the better team tonight.
I felt Eagles lost control of the game and just couldn't quite grip there hands back onto the steering wheel.
Towards the end I felt we didn't deserve to go through and face London with how we played.
Shame really as I was hoping a run in the Trophy plus a couple more league wins could spark some kind of resurgence with the club.
Although this is starting to look like another rough season with only the playoffs left to compete for.
However right now we're not even in a playoff spot right now.
I starting feel bad for players like Hamlet who constantly steps up and yet we always seem to lose.
I wonder now which player we will sack and replace next?
And I mean seriously what is the deal with Ben Mockford?
The guy has been injured and barely played yet for some reason we still have him practically just riding the bench yet he hasn't been cut yet?
It wouldn't suprise me if his next game for us ain't until Febuary when the GB window is round the corner.
Then by magic he is back playing 20 minutes.

The standout stat was 69% v 12% from the arc - Eagles can't expect to win anything with Hamlet, Cohn and Kennedy combining for 0 from 15 attempts. If just a few had gone in it would have been a different game.

If just a few had gone in it would have been a different game. Well one of the players you expect to take and drain 3's was kitted up but didn't even get played tonight? Which is why I agree with Stevetino on the resources. At this point I almost feel like suggesting the Eagles get an allotment garden and do a Liz Truss in seeing how many players can last longer then a cabbage. I think only Defoe, Mockford, Kennedy and Hamlet are left from the original signings at the start of the season. I wasn't sure whether you could count Cohen since he was brought in as a replacement at pre season. |

Another winnable game thrown away IMO. Refs calling everything and what do we do? Persist with the three rather than pound it inside. Would not like this ref crew every week, 49 fouls in total called. No wonder players get frustrated. Doesn't help the fans either.
