Bit of a strange one in my opinion. Pretty good CV for this level I guess though I'm not entirely sure what to make of the CEBL. Certainly plenty of evidence to suggest he's a very good shooter but we weren't exactly light in that area anyway. Whelan has been probably the best in the league the last year and a half. Jackson is having an excellent season and is shooting north of 40% from deep. Loving is a bit streaky but he's a weapon when he gets going. Conner has been one of the most reliable shooters in the BBL for about a decade now. Kimbal's solid. Long story short we weren't lacking shooters. What we lack is a top drawer out and out PG and strength/depth at the 4/5 spots. And I'm not too sure this signing does a huge amount to remedy that. I'm thinking Bandoo might be a better scorer off the dribble than some of the names above but 2 assists per game doesn't suggest he's a brilliant facilitator. We obviously weren't getting a ton from Thornton so it's not like there are big shoes to fill here. If this guy turns out to be a good player he should have some sort of positive impact on the team regardless. But I'm not convinced he's an ideal fit. Feels to me like we're adding to a strength here and not necessarily doing a massive amount to address our weaknesses. It's a valid observation. But it's Robs decision. He will have done it with a plan on how we make it all work And tbf whoever we signed might not be enough to beat Lions Let's be honest (Anyway we have rumours of another signing from isthaturinal) And he's never been wrong on here yet!!!

Mmmmm....never?Impressed with Thornton: skilful, fast, can get to the hoop and distributes the ball well. He seemed pretty fearless against defenders and can score with either hand. Also liked that he got back to defend asap. Only one game but I reckon Rob's found a PG who can compete very well with other guards in the BBL. Moreover, he has only been with the team for a week so he has a lot to learn about his teammates - as that develops he should prove even more effective. Absolutely spot on, Really looking forward now to our first home game.

Hige signing in terms of development. This needs to be more of the norm. Kudos to Leicester for following Lions lead

Nice signing for the future
I doubt he gets many minutes at this stage of his career
But hes got the best coach to develop under
I guess he's chosen Riders ahead of going to US to develop?

Ndoukou has already been on court for Riders for limited minutes. He'll be training with the team regularly from now on and I'm pretty sure will benefit enormously as a result. Adekoya's a great role model and Rob's a terrific coach. Ndoukou could learn a great deal from both. I think he is a solid signing and young enough to make significant progress. These last two changes to the roster give cause for optimism. It'll take time but I feel more hopeful about the season than I did pre-Xmas.
