If Eagles can manage to pull off a win over Manchester then maybe I would start to believe that this is the beginning of a turn around for the club.
Especially going into the BBL Trophy which I hope we atleast make a good push in.
Although Manchester will be a tough team and especaillay away aswell.
A win would probably make it our biggest victory of the season so far.
And the team has changed alot in personell since we played them at the beginning of the season.

Giants struggling with a small bench at present. We were able to get so far ahead but that final 36 point final quarter made it a nervous end. Not certain if we tired after playing the night before Giants shots went in and ours didnt. Think Dirk Williams had his best game for a long time and you always know exactly where Fletcher is going and what he will do but remains virtually impossible to stop.
Incredible crowd last night, truly a full house with lots of first timers, great first game to bring them back!!

its the small things that all add up - switch on youtube and the pre game picture is a mr dan clark in his giants kit as the placeholder for the giants eagles game. how hard to update the placeholder slide to have a current player?

Opportunity thrown away for Eagles there, Manchester were there for the taking. Amazed at how much space and time they were given to shoot threes, played right in to their hands.
Surprised Everett hasn't been binned, if we could just get a little bit of production out of him we'd be a far better team. Complete waste of an import slot. Pretty sure I read Stronagh was stoked to sign him and they'd had their eyes on him for a couple years. What were they watching? Offers nothing whatsoever. Why persist with him?
Eagles definitely missed Kyle Johnson, starting Ubiaro seemed a strange move to me. So frustrating as Manchester are down to the bare bones, can't see us being anywhere near beating them when William Lee is back.

Well that was an exciting game with many twists and turns but down the stretch I felt Manchester were going to be too much for us to handle.
And watching Rahmon Fletcher Catalyst the Giants to victory reminded me how much I miss not having him in an Eagles vest.
Was a strange game with Manchester very poor in the early going and letting us shoot endless 3's and grab the 2nd chance rebounds.
But once they tightened up and got back in it we were unable to shake them.
It was almost similar to our game against Gladiators the way the momentum changed except this time it wasn't in our favour.
As for the Eagles, I'm gutted we lost but pleased we were atleast competitive.
Our recent form is certainly giving me a lot more optimism although at the start of the season I said the same thing and our form continued to dip as the personally changed.
Starting the new year on a loss not great but I'm going to try and look at the positives and pray we can keep on picking up wins, run deep in the Trophy and qualify for this year's playoffs.
Hopefully our next game against the improved Surrey Scorchers we can claim our first victory of the year.
