The timeout where he went ballistic the commentators pointed out the crowd close to him applauded him after the timeout
It followed two awful bits of defending straight after each other
Eagles responded straight after with energy and effort
But they simply dont have the ability to back up any energy they show IMO

Just got back from the game and have mixed feelings. That first quarter is the worst I've seen ever seen an Eagles team play. Usually you see a team who've just been blown out come out the next game all guns blazing, especially at home. Eagles did exactly the opposite of that and left Cheshire for a layup line and I counted at least 7 open threes. Just absolutely woeful. I was just sat there in disbelief. Second quarter was only slightly better (maybe aided by Cheshire taking their foot off the gas) and I was surprised to see us only 13 points down. Cheshire should've put the game to bed really before half time, as the Eagles weren't that much better in the second quarter. I thought they might have come out after half time all guns blazing, but they did exactly the opposite of that as they let Cheshire breeze back up to a 20 point lead. Steutel called a time a time out and absolutely lit the team up for the entire time out. No instructions, just rage. He just eviscerated them, it was kinda impressive how mad he was to be fair! It seemed to work as it lit a fire under some of the players and Eagles made a bit of a comeback. In the end they left themselves with too much to do, but at least some of the players showed a bit of bottle. Not sure if it was audible on the Sky coverage, as I know the commentators are just to the left of the Eagles bench. It really was the biggest telling off I've seen a team get, and I've seen plenty from Fab and Rob P! So, I'm somehow sitting down tonight slightly encouraged by what I saw in the final quarter and a half. I'm hoping it's a bit of a 'shit or get off the pot' moment for some of our players and they begin to see who is going to be useful going forward. There are a couple who just don't look up for it at all. Because I'm a glutton for punishment I'm gonna watch the game back on television before I go to bed, to see how accurate my analysis is! Oh and finally, well done Phoenix. A win on the road without your best player is a great result. Also lovely to see some Phoenix fans make the journey up. They're always very nice and polite, thanks for making the journey up! I always enjoy games with away fans that bit more. It seems a pity that Steutel had to deliver the hairdryer treatment to a team of professionals who must surely realise that consistent effort is called for in the BBL, especially this season where other teams will find you out if you don't put in a shift. The final scoreline could have been much worse if Phoenix hadn't been so careless with the ball at times. It must be worrying that quite a number of Newcastle fans left before the bitter end.

Shouldn’t take that to fire up the guys, you can’t come out not ready to play, it’s happening by every week mrf, I don’t blame some of the fans for early exits after witnessing that

Not too worried about people leaving early, just as many leaving as when we win and the game isn't close. Massively worrying that so called PROFESSIONAL players need to be shouted at like children to get a reaction. At this level some of them are literally playing for their careers and don't seem to give a shit. Particularly disappointed in Everett, who looks to be very talented but just breezes through a game. Like I said yesterday, hopefully last night was line drawn in the sand and they got an idea of what's at stake. Not sure how confident of that I am though. That's three winnable home games in a row dropped now though, we have some tough home games (Leicester and Glads) coming up. Sigh.

I’d pay big money for Darius’s thoughts on his current colleagues after all the team mates he’s shared the dressing room with over the years. He’ll probably keep a diplomatic silence though…
