I would say Lions to win this although Nix gave them a good and respectable battle earlier this season. Although after a great European win yesterday the Lions should be wanting to keep the fans cheering and look to bring home some early season sliver ware.

Just in case everyone isn't aware, this is a BBL Cup Quater Final game, as are all the games this weekend. It also clashes with the England World Cup game, so I'm not expecting much of a crowd.

Is there a game on Sky Sports tomorrow? With an England mens world cup game on absolutely no way were Sky Sports going to even bother trying to compete for viewers. I thought they would have considered trying to put last nights Glads and Riders match on instead though but hey ho.

I'm sure that's probably a factor, but also Sky have never shown anything other than League games (apart from the finals of course) and all of this weekend's games are Cup games, so the decision is in line with previous scheduling.

Dekker out of action again for London tonight. He didn’t pick up an injury in the EuroCup game this week did he?

Although I have been watching the football this evening if this game had have been on Sky tonight I may have tempted to switch the game was that boring! 🥱 Followed the stats though and it looks like an up and down game so far with Cheshire pushing London again.

A 9 point win by London in the end, but looking at Cheshire’s shooting stats it really should have been more. London lacking energy and enthusiasm, but did enough to get the job done.
Good first game by Oni too, even if he did get ejected from the game! Quite the welcome to the BBL!
Good crowd too, a lot bigger than I was expecting given the England football game clash.
London now go on to face the winner of Bristol/Manchester in the Cup semi-finals.

Made a closer game due to Lions lackadaisical approach to most of the game. With such a big and talented squad you can see a definate "just another game " approach. However it must be really difficult to have so many ins and outs for the players and not settling to playing a decent amount of time on court. Wonder if a change of approach could help in the BBL league games by only giving playing time to a squad of 8 players allowing them 3o minutes to play with the same other 4 on court? Nix on the other hand as usual play that system ( and have done for the last 20 years).

London Lions got a ten point lead in the first quarter and stayed in the lead throughout the game. They used 11 players and all eleven got a decent amount of minutes. Their second string players got more minutes but the EuroCup players got enough minutes to get most of the points and win the game. It was a masterclass of how to control a game and use your bench.

I’m not sure London were in complete control all the time… they let Cheshire get within a few points a couple of times.

A pity that the 12th one was Kaboza who showed such promise I the latter half of last season
