I think it would be a huge stretch to say any club develops bbl players though. Which club has a current players that have come through their youth system and are now bbl players, not bench garbage minute players?

I'm more meaning they get British players and they develop and grow with the club and contribute etc Not necessarily through their youth system You always need a strong core of Brits More chance of retaining them for longer periods of time and building around them Eagles need 2 or 3 quality new British players who might stay with them for a few seasons

irf, just to answer a couple of the points you've made. Recruitment? 100% agree the recruitment has got steadily worse over the past few years and is the main cause of our issues this year. It's hard to really comment when I'm not sure who is involved, but I can only guess Coach Steutel has most of the input in to this. I'm hoping the disaster this summer can be put down to inexperience. At least I hope so! Especially when other (lesser) BBL clubs seem to be able to do more, with less. UK players? An achilles heal of Eagles for a number of years. I was hoping Steutel would right this wrong along with Brexit pushing more players back home. I've been disappointed with who has come in, especially age-wise. There isn't much to build on in the long term. This has to be better. Wasted Season? Hopefully Coach Steutel is able to take what he's learned from this season and improve his recruitment process. He'll know the ups and downs of a season and what type of character and abilities he will need to bring in. If lessons are learned then for me it's not a wasted season. Might be a bit wishful thinking, but I'm happy to take it on the chin so long as we grow from it. Getting beat by Plymouth isn't fun, especially with the difference in infrastructure.
