Patriots to remain at Plymouth Pavilions for remainder of 2022-2023 Season. As discussions regarding a permanent venue continue, the club is announcing that it will remain at Plymouth Pavilions for the remainder of this season. Dates had previously only been released for 2022 with plans to get a venue ready for 2023 but negotiations continue which are not able to be concluded in time for this season. “The club have been working extremely hard to finalise a sustainable venue and this work will continue throughout this season. We hope to have more news on this soon and would thank the pavilions for allowing us to complete our dates for another season” said Patriots Chairman Carl Heslop “ Over the last decade we are so proud to have played a key role in assuring the survival of professional basketball in the City, by providing a home and contributing the equivalent of more than £2 million in support to the Plymouth City Patriots (and predecessors Plymouth Raiders). With the Club so close to finalising exciting plans for their new venue, we’re pleased to continue our support and extend their stay with us. We look forward to celebrating Patriots’ success over the coming months, ahead of their move to pastures new next season” said Pavilions’ CEO, Sarah Phillips. Tickets and dates will be made available in the coming weeks and bookings will be available through the pavilions website as soon as these are available to purchase. They make it sound like they are moving somewhere better and it's not yet ready - my understanding was that they need to find somewhere and it probably wouldn't be as good as Pavillions, in which case this is a good result for their season.

I don’t see how they could be moving anywhere better. Sheffield Sharks’s new arena, which looks quite basic, is reportedly costing £3.5m. I have not read anything about Plymouth Patriots having funding for a new arena.

Its nothing more than a stalling device, this club is built on more sand than a ice cream hut on the beach

Good for Plymouth, I hope they get their new arena but atleast they have a temporary home.
As an Eagles fan I remember having to wait a while before we got our arena and at one point I thought it was never going to happen until one day it eventually did.
It's just a pity we haven't been as successful as what we were at Sports Central but at least we have our own Castle.
