A great Sunday of games that looks certain to make this the most interesting BBL weekend of the season so far.
Will Surrey or Eagles manage to get there first win?
Caledonia vs Leicester I feel can go either way depending on which teams turn up for either side.
Whilst Nix vs Bristol should be a fine battle.
But Giants against Lions would be a game I will be intrigued.
I'm sure Vince will also be wanting to make a statement in that game.

Much will depend on whether Jackson is playing after Friday's exertions. Has he set his recovery back or will he be ok to suit up against Glasgow? I'd love Thornton to be fit too of course but that may be a big ask for this weekend.

I know one thing for sure, Riders have prepared well for the game by traveling up to Scotland yesterday and not on the day of the game,
I always think this is a wise decision.

Scorchers yet to lose by less than 15 this season, down by 22 at the moment
I said a few times on here I thought Gardner was mad going there, They do seem to have a bigger budget this year but whether it’s a competitive one I have my doubts, not looking good for them once again

Lions had a good start, One of the first good starts they’ve had in the league this season but they’re looking pretty sloppy again now towards the end of the first quarter, so frustrating to watch at times

What is going on with the Eagles, my word!
Is it Bonfire Night Yet? as we certainly look like we need rockets shoved up us in we're going to get back into this game.
I hope Steutel will be demanding more from the team right now or else Sharks are going to finish us in the 3rd Quarter!

I say it every game but Lions need to replace one of their guards, the difference in quality between their guards and their front court is ridiculous
Soluade ain’t good enough, DVO isn’t good enough for the role he has, and until Queeley can score he shouldn’t be getting these minutes
Where is Kaboza? The only one who actually plays with any aggression

Giants tough out another ugly win, getting to be most games lol, Zubcic easily player of the game, some huge buckets but his defence continues to impress me, Best was clutch down the stretch too
Giants might be the second best team in the league, if they stay healthy

Genuinely great game between Lions and Giants. Amazing advert for BBL.
Giants lost it on the foul line unfortunately, more of Lee, Dirk and Roberson in Q4 might have made the difference and Lions punished them hugely. Some of their 3 shooting in the final quarter just didn’t fall when they needed it too. Green excellent again though, and a vintage Rahmon throwback in Q4.
Credit to Lions though. Incredible team defence and an all around dominant game from the brilliant Zubcic and a great late contribution from Best. Agree with others, some of the backups aren’t any better than the rest of the BBL.

Congratulations to the Sharks but absolute awful performance from the Eagles today. After our win over Bristol on Friday I thought today would atleast be a good game and instead we got destroyed! Unless we can find a way to consistently win back to back games it's going to be another long season. Defensively we either let them through easily or when we played D we ended up fouling which has been a common problem with the team so far. Made worse by the fact we could barely hit anything in the 2nd Quarter. I sure hope we come out with a better response against Pats next week. |

Glasgow's defence was excellent and Sloan unstoppable. Fantastic 3 point shooting. Without Thornton we hadn't got enough creativity and firepower. They were better and deserved their victory. Murray has forged a resilient, hard-working team who run and run for each other. Gutted.

Worse for Riders was the injury to Walker. It was off the ball and he clutched his achilles when he fell.
Medical staff around him and off to the dressing rooms before the end of the game.

Wow its looking terrible for Leicester. Losing record, worst start to the season in how long? If they don't have plymouth as their next 3 games they could be in real trouble.
I know thoae Leicester tinted glasses dont provide clear vision (i miss my green ones) but this is a huge slide. Id be worried. Looks like it could be a horrific season a head. I say horrific because newcastle won 2 trophies one season and leicester fans called it terrible, Leicester will be lucky to get to 2 semi finals at this rate
