Brilliant 3 games and nice to see Sky got Leicester vs London in early as they were most people predicted teams to finish top 2.
If they make all 3 finals or come across each in other in the knockout competition stages they could face each other 7 times and possibly more if they meet in a 2 leg match.
Eagles vs Manchester will be an interesting start for the Eagles particularly against Fletch.
It will be weird to cheer against him this time as I imagine it will be for a lot of fans.
Sheffield vs Bristol I felt there was some rivalry with these 2 teamast season as I remember that game last season where Bristol got that dagger shot at the end to clinch it.
With Sheffield already starting off 0-2 after losing to tough opponents will they finally put a win on the board.
Overall and exciting Friday night!

Tonight's game between Lions & Riders won't determine the season but it will lay down a marker.
Can't wait to see Giants v Eagles as well. These are both mouth watering contests.

Can't say I'm a fan of such 'trash talking' on social media, but it's done all the time in the NBA, and I think this is Lions just trying to replicate that here. It might come across a bit better if all teams in the BBL were doing it, but at the moment it doesn't have quite the same feel as the NBA when it's just one team doing it. Anyway, I can't wait to be back at the Copper Box for the first home game of the season.  |

So will Thornton suit up and play tonight or has he not had sufficient time with the club? Anyone know when he arrived in Leicester?
CJ clearly deemed not to be OK and disappeared without barely a ripple. Riders are definitely underdogs tonight. Hardly the best start to the season, except for the pre-season wins. Cutting your #1 PG just b4 you play the most stacked team in the BBL is not ideal but if he wasn't a good enough fit for the team then of course the club made the best decision to end his contract asap.

It doesn't surprise me that they are using trashing talking. They probably hired UFC Connor Mcgregor to be head of Social Media. "You'll do nuthin Riders!" Back on topic to me all 3 of these games would have been worthy of Sky Sports. And with the season starting earlier and playing each other 4 times maybe we will see these teams match up at some point in the season. I look forward to kicking off the season and seeing Eagles play Giants. |

Budgets mean nothing with these 2 teams, robs 10 times the coach which which is worth millions.

LDN are going to absolutely smash Riders. They barely got out of first gear beating Sharks last week.
I can't see Eagles beating Manchester, but think it'll be close. Eagles are a completely unknown quantity.
And I don't really care about Sharks and Bristol, two most boring teams in the league by a mile.

The FIBA unsportsmanlike foul rule is the worst rule in pro hoops. Soko made a basketball play to try and get the ball. It wasn’t intentional or remotely dirty but because he’s the last man it’s unsportsmanlike? Terrible rule.
Unluckiest ejection you’ll see. The first tech was harsh as well.

Well great game for 3 Quarters but well done to Manchester Giants.
I saw great things in both sides tonight but in the 4th Quarter they capitalised whilst we unfortunately fell apart.
As for the Eagles whilst the loss is disappointing I certainly think we have potential.
We shouldnt have allowed overselves to lose by 20 but I can see improvement already compared to how flat we were last season.
Since I predicted Manchester to finish top 3 I'd cut the Eagles a little slack so long as the improve over the course of the season.
And atleast the game wasn't boring compared to afew games last year as well.
I think Coen was a stand out for us and atleast Marc and Darius really took command of the game to instead of sitting there and letting us fall apart until the end anyway.
Oh well roll on Nix is what I say hopefully we can bounce back on the road and get the first win early this year.
