so anyone worked out if the group Riders are in will be broadcast on Courtside? I've selected Champions league qualifiers in my favourites, but the games it shows dont seem to include where Riders are playing.

I suspect it'll also end on Wednesday too. Seriously though, needing to win 3 games to qualify for the Champions League season is an almost impossible ask. It's such a shame they've said they have no plans to continue in the Europe Cup if they don't qualify. But I understand their reasoning. Regardless, I wish them the very best of luck today. Go Riders!

Good news about the stream. But I'm afraid it's more doom and gloom from me as far as a prediction goes. I quite like what Voluntari have done this summer. Look to have struck a nice balance between returning key performers from last season and also adding potential difference makers. Five senior returnees by my count and some fairly impressive looking newcomers including...
Tekele Cotton - A bit quiet in recent years but had three seasons as a 10 ppg guy in EuroCup/BCL earlier in his career and still only 29. Terry Larrier - Averaged 13 and 5 at UConn and 13 ppg last season in the G League. Rasheed Moore - 11 ppg in the German BBL the past two seasons. Darko Planinic - Experienced Croatian big who's had a solid career at top European level. Played two seasons as a bench player in EuroLeague.
I imagine it'll be either Tofas or Chemnitz who advance from this section but Voluntari look like a club that intends to give Europe a decent go this year. Clearly we do not. A quote from Rob in the preview piece almost reads like an admission of this in fact.
I'm sure we'll ultimately get the best out of what talent we have and I don't think Voluntari are of the level where you completely dismiss our chances. But it's impossible to look at their team on paper and not think it's a superior collection of individuals. Would be an impressive win if we could pull it off. Even if it is ultimately leading nowhere this year.

Very frustrating game to watch. Never really got into any ryhthym and our shot selection was often poor. Washington impressed but CSO took control at half time and we never really looked as if we might succeed despite the closeness of the scoreline. Wasn't CJ's night for certain.

That was a rather short European season. Hopefully it was a useful preseason game for them. Credit to Riders for taking their place in Europe and representing British basketball.

Caught this game earlier and sort of half watched it and commiserations to the Riders. Its a pity if they don't get a regular euro season but its always great to see a UK team take on Europe and hold their own.
It's ashame the coverage wasn't on UK TV as to start off the graphics were that bad it looked like I was playing a early 2000 EA Sports game. But atleast it was free.
As for the crowd I don't know what following Basketball has in Romania but it made the Copper Box look like a night club rave. Would have been more of an atmosphere if it was in Leicester.

Playing at that level you have to take every chance, Riders didn't but CSO managed to take enough despite energetic defence. Anyone see the other game?
