Football club wise, there was Glasgow Rangers and Portsmouth FC in the 80s
Richmond Rugby Club were behind NBL1s greatest one season wonder, the Richmond Jaguars in 97-98

BBL - Originally Derby Storm. However, ever since that franchise collapsed in 2002 I've followed Leicester Riders. NCAA - Xavier Musketeers

Seems a pretty specific team if that makes sense! Btw THAT Derby Storm team, dear me I bet that was entertaining. For those who don’t know…

BBL - Leicester Riders ever since a work colleague took me to Granby Halls in 1997 I think? Fallen out of the habit in recent seasons as my usual group of friends have all moved on but still watch some on BBL player. NBL - Leicester Warriors yes I was the mythical one fan! Once again, I haven't watched in a while as they switched games away from Braunstone LC to the wrong side of the city NBA - Seattle Sonics were my team during the Payton era but after they moved to OKC I haven't kept up with the NBA at all.

BBL - Plymouth (live and coach here) NBL - Ipswich (began my coaching under Nick Drane back in 2000) NBA - Chicago (a byproduct of Channel 4 basketball in the 90's) NCAA - not really fussed, will watch most games - the intensity/execution is (usually) so much better than the NBA slow meander through 82 (often) meaningless games.

For those who don’t know… I used to work for a company that had an office in Cincinnati. Whenever I went over some friends who are season ticket holders would take me to games. It was incredible to see their court considering it was college basketball. I also spent a lot of time in Detroit but unfortunately didn't get to go to any Pistons game.

Surrey Scorchers. Although I feel the emotional bond between me and the franchise gets weaker with every relaunch. I had a bit of a sabbatical when we left the Spectrum but had been there since the very first Guildford Heat game.
And I’m sure it comes as no surprise to learn I started out as a Thames Valley Tigers supporter. I was very young but my best basketball memories were being taken to The Pit. The team was crap and struggled to make the POs most season but I loved it.
I was also a regular at Kingston Wildcats in the NBL before they went bust. Before that, my parents followed Kingston Kings around the country.
I don’t really support any other teams outside of Britain but have a soft spot for Knicks and Raptors.

BBL - Trying to be a pats fan
NBL - Probably Worthing but a big fan of the league is general
NCAA - Duke if you asked but don't really follow
NBA - I pick a team per game based on the players on the roster but also wherever Lebron is
Europe - Very casual eye on Boulogne as I used to live nearby

Cracking Derby Storm video there, Bigz! Bit grainy though so couldn't tell who was who in it. Was that the infamous Rico and Yorick season where they got suspended for ages? Doesn't Donewald look young and baby faced there! I remember around the same time Derby had their own forum on a website that was almost x-rated, it was so full of swearing and abuse!

Early days, EBBA - Ovaltine Hemel Hempstead. Continued into the Hemel & Watford Royals days.
Moved back to Scotland, no live basketball for about 15 years.
BBL - Glasgow Rocks, from near the end of their first season after moving from Edinburgh to Glasgow.
No particular affiliation with any team in any other league, but will happily watch NBA, NCAA when possible.

Went to Rocks games for a decade but slowly stopped going the more off his nut Duncan Smillie got. Then moved to England and now go to the odd London game.

Indeed, but totally unruly - I remember the first time they came to Worthing, Rico and Yorick came on the court acting like plastic gangsters making gun signs with their hands and just looking like complete jackasses. Wasn't long before the incident with Chester, I think it was? And both were banned for ages. You look at how Donewald used to behave back then, like a spoiled brat, it perhaps wasn't much of a surprise. But credit where it's due, all 3 of them matured and went on to have wonderful careers. I assume Reservoir Bob has mellowed at least a little bit by now!

We were there mate, enjoying Moorways stadium. Mo Robinson. Rico Alderson, Yorick Williams, Nate Reinking, Joel Burns, John Tresvant, Martin Ford, not sure about Tim Lascelles, but you might be right .... you usually are !!! It went downhill quickly after that, when we moved to the Thunderdome.

Ah Everton Tigers, then Mersey Tigers was it? 🤣 I played for Everton before Mersey mate haha!!!! I wasnt too keen on Everton before I was training down there, I distinctly remember training with the Jets when Everton hosted the derby at the Echo Arena - on setanta sports and everything and everyone was expecting an Everton walkover. I think Cheshire were out of sight by the end of Q1. Hilarious. Real quality that evening, I've never been in an underground car park with such noise after that game. All the Jets fans had their car horns blasting out for ages after that win! Ah memories!
