Surprised particularly as it's not exactly half an hours drive up there.

So was there a result last night, or would it be disrespectful to let fans know ?

81-73 win in Friday's game.
64-96 in tonight's game.

Well not the best pre season start for the Eagles. Hopefully by the end of the pre season we will look stronger but good news for Surrey fans. Look forward to seeing the new team for the first time against the Dolphins next week. Although I wonder when these final signings are meant to come?

Was the player who signed to win trophies with Eagles injured or something?

When your pre season and games are run by the assistant coach then you won't get the performance you planned.
That being said that line irf has floored me

I don't think you can hang that loss on Gary.

Steutl certainly has a challenge to get this new group playing together if last night was anything to go by. RGB went out after 5 minutes so let's hope that's not bad and just a precaution.
Surrey seem to have got quite a player in Jalen Ray he was knocking down contested 3s for fun all night.

Im not, just saying with the same players i imagine they'll be a different team once Steutal gets back According to the match report he was there apparently and so was Mockford although Ben didn't suit up. To be fair I imagine with Team GB Marc probably hasn't had his eye on the team as much at this moment. And I agree especially after last season it may even taken a little bit of time before this team comes into its own. As long as come Christmas we're not still being blown apart like this then he still has my support for now. According to the Match Report as well this sounded like a nightmare game as well with players picking up minor injuries. But this is exactly the reason why we need more depth. 8 players and 1 kid (if we're still counting Kande was a kid since he has played a long time for us) is not enough to cover injuries, suspensions or star players needing rest etc...

I know only pre season but 47 fouls, as a Surrey fan not reading to much into result, a little disappointed with Surrey social media team, no starting 5, no score lines throughout the game

Tayo and Rose shot the lights out from three. Also the ex-Chrshire big who's enermous and not very good played, can't remember his name but hadn't seen his signing announced.

Radwan Bakkali Playing for Eagles you mean? Or Surrey? EDIT: just reading this again and it’s clear you meant Scorchers, unless you sign someone else a level above the likes of Jacdonmi/Wanliss/Bakkali that’s looking like a glaring weakness in your squad

Our squad looks absolutely pants to be brutally honest, but its very early days and coach hasn't been around.

Bakkali isn't as bad as some think. Joined Nix as a temporary cover start of last season and kept on. He'll never be a starter but is useful as a cover for a centre near the end of a bench. Joining Kyle Carey as a second Nix player from last season to join Scorchers.
