Gotta be up there for worst jersey in the league this year, that's awful.

I know FE institutions can/might have deep pockets but another year of failing to secure a commercial Jersey sponsor to replace Esh Group. Also the new kit is terrible, especially the 90s-esque tribal design on the shorts 🤢 looks like something Guy Fieri would pair with his fire shirt on an episode of DDD.

No problem with the kit
Can't be much finance behind the deal though which has to be more relevant here
A college can be a sponsor and have contra deals etc without expecting to be main sponsor name on the kit
And dont really gain a lot from having name on the kit either?
Lots of other things Eagles could have given them instead of main shirt sponsor
It's a weird one IMO

Although given the Eagles reputation and how well known they are in the North East I'm surprised they aren't crawling with investors wanting to sponsor especially some smaller but well stable businesses?

Yeah you wouldn't think a college would have much budget but I could see why they'd feel it's a good fit, as lots of young people watch the team and it might give the college a fashionable image.

Sadly at the moment, there aren't many investors crawling around anywhere particularly smaller and stable businesses. Agreed though Eagles have struggled to replace the car dealers sponsorship since that ended.

Do Eagles employ a commercial manager?

The Mohawks have a great partnership with Middlesbrough college where players play, train and use the gym facilities obviously on a much smaller scale but works for the club.

Just beaten me to sharing this. Looks like our season sponsors are a local college and a budget hotel then I guess. I remember some friends stayed there last year after my works Christmas party in Toon. They never told me much about it though. Does anyone know the score from last night as I haven't seen it published anywhere?
