Newcastle Eagles have snapped up Brandon McKissic,
Fresh out of the University of Florida Gators, The 6’3” guard started for the Gators and closed out the season averaging 5.8 points and 2.5 rebounds

Seems like a another good pick up and if their was one major thing we lacked last year it was defense.
From what I have seen so far I'm getting the impression this Eagles team is probably going to be more one to try and build on for seasons to come rather then instant success.
Given how the BBL may play out this season I suppose it would make sense if that was the clubs aim.
Although I hope we at least look more competitive and battle better on the court then last season.

As I said elsewhere the pressure to win trophies is lifted with what Lions are putting together Rebuild is what Eagles need to be in a position to win trophies if and when Lions fall back again in future seasons Is finishing third, fourth or fifth in the league much different to finishing second? Assuming the League belongs to Lions next season Ps I wouldn't be saying this myself if we still had Geno |
