Looks like a good pick but no disrespect to him but its a very long road to the NBA from the BBL if that is his ultimate goal. Although if he can somehow manage to run circles around London then maybe its possible.
After all we did recently have Jaysen Paige make it there even if it was just for a 10 day contract.

Looks like a promising signing. Seems like after a tumultuous first year out of college he'll be hungry to settle and prove his worth. Eagles are going big in the backcourt this year, especially to last year with Fletch and Sieve Person.

He looks like a very good acquisition.

He's clearly a confident kid with big ambitions
Nothing wrong with that
But
“I’m coming to Newcastle to win trophies and to play my part in the next chapter of this great club,” added Hamlet.
I guess if he can make Eagles win some trophies whilst he's with them then actually he might be good enough for NBA after all

If he's got half of Paige's skill levels he will do fine. This is a commentators dream though. "Hamlet to Broadway..."

Is this the new Eagles Literary Recruiting Policy ? I suppose Defoe did write Robinson Crusoe…. If it is then I wonder if theirs a Mockford show or book out there somewhere? On a serious note the Eagles have just announced 6 pre season friendlies today with 2 games against Surrey, 1 against Shefield and USA select. As well as a match for the ladies against the Riders and a European opponents the Norkopping Dolphins from Sweden who are playing the Riders men 2 days before us. newcastle-eagles.us3.list-manage.com/track/click?u=7c2b64250303027ffc497d9f2&id=248b239d70&e=7710175084

Just discovered Justin Gordon isn't coming back. According to his Instagram he has signed for Obera Tenis Club which is a basketball team in Argentina.

Was confirmed a while ago he didn't want to come back. Wage demands were too high for any team in the BBL other than London. Surprised he got paid they much in the Argentine second division, but then again I know nothing about that league.

Another big athletic rookie guard. This season is definitely going to be interesting if nothing else! Currently up to 6 players and 3 out of 5 alloted imports. There must be some big announcements upcoming especially if D is winding his minutes down and Mockford is going his usual 6th man role.

Very disappointed that he’s not called Shakespeare. But looks like another good signing!

Summit Conference Defensive Player of the Year, whilst averaging 17 pts/ game, and then a 5th year at Florid with a more limited role. Sounds like an intriguing recruit. Like most rookies, difficult to know what you’re getting but his UMKC stats look very impressive, and he wouldn’t be the first to move to a top conference and play a more limited role (eg Crandell at Gonzaga). Time will tell!

Going to be exciting for Eagles fans to see a fresh approach next season I imagine
Just getting a deep enough squad capable of giving 100 per cent effort and energy from start to finish of every game will be enough for you Eagles fans to feel like they are making progress I think
Now Lions are doing what they are doing the expectation to win trophies again will have been significantly reduced as well
Should be a good season for you guys I think

Agree, they needed a complete refresh and restart. Obviously could go either way but I'd be optimistic and looking forward to the season.
