The Eagles have just re-signed Darius Defoe to his 19th Season with the club and league. Really surprised he is back and I'm starting to wonder if he's looking to go 20 seasons possibly. Not to be all doom and gloom and whilst I know we haven't finished signing our full roster yet. So far I'm not optimistic we're going to finish higher then mid table.
I really hope our best signings are yet to come.

Darius will add more off the court than on it I suspect, with his motivational experience. If any BBL player deserves a testimonial this season he does, but Marc please don’t wear him out- neither he nor Mockford should be starting five !

If any BBL player deserves a testimonial this season he does He’d better join the que, Fab, Charlie Smith, Fletch, Lasker, etc etc….. I don’t think Paul Blake is a fan of testimonials |

I don’t think Paul Blake is a fan of testimonials Tbh we need to atleast a hall of fame induction if you ask me. Haven't done one since my first season as a fan and that was 10 years ago now. |

Don’t hold your breath - even Fab hasn’t made the Eagles HoF yet.
It may be different on social media but the eagles website is APPALLINGLY out of date !

Marc please don’t wear him out- neither he nor Mockford should be starting five ! Looking to be quite a strong bench, it'll be needed with Darius sitting on it for so most of the time. |

Darius could still be ok playing 12 minutes ish from the bench
But even he will accept he's inevitably not the same player he once was
But we've all been suggesting he plays low minutes from the bench for 5 years ish now

That he's been much more important than that over the past few years is 100% a failing in recruitment. Really glad he'll be sticking around, he's a fun player to root for and seems to be a good person to have around the team. So long as him and Mockford are coming off the bench, I'll be pleased with that. If one or both end up starting, it'll be a long season! |

Or perhaps it's Lions signings that make Eagles signings seem underwhelming so far? |

Which can still happen from the bench as Riders have shown

We certainly need a guard who can work with DD - so many of our best points last year were DD/RF assists/scores.
