Riders have continued to bring back a vast amount of last seasons roster… By resigning US Wing Zach Jackson. Who averaged 11.2 points 3.6 rebounds 2.0 assists and 1.5 steels last season

From what I remember he did well for your second unit last season when they played Eagles in Newcastle. Although granted last season that wasn't very difficult to do with our team.
To be fair given how strong you were and are taking the next step in Europe it would be fitting for Leicester to retain most their team for the challenge.

Continuity is great and all, but I cant help but feel you're gonna need to pull a rabbit or two out the hat if you want to compete in Europe.

There is still time for other signings to be announced.
Riders tend to "drip feed" signing announcements to build and maintain interest and boost ticket sales, and sponsors signing. I would not be surprised if new top quality player was added to the squad, and announced just before the first pre season games.

What's the chance of signing higher end players for short term contracts for Europe qualification only?
Are there any attractive/high salary paying Leagues that they could then move to if or when we fail to qualify?

The negative of short term signings is that they can upset the balence of a side, there is also the off court factor of a short term signing, on a higher salary, causing resentment for taking playing time and earning more than the full season players.

Course there's still time - but if they were to compete in Europe I'd want a Marc Loving type back, plus two new big hitters to be confident of competing at that level. Otherwise it'll be an early exit.

They’ve got 3 games in 5 days in Europe and unless they beat Tofas + someone else with a far bigger budget then that will be the end of their European adventure, It doesn’t really fit with how they do things in Leicester to spend big on players for such a short time, especially when they have pulled out of the Europe cup due to the finances, I think it’s incredibly unlikely we see any big signings from them tbh

I'm afraid I agree. Fanciful to imagine Riders are capable of putting together a BCL quality roster. We effectively gave up on Europe this year when we opted out of Europe Cup. Can't see us throwing money around like maniacs between now and September in a probably futile attempt to qualify.
Most of our team is surely in place now. We've announced eight senior returnees, plus Bowman. Not expecting a massive amount from him right away but I'm thinking he'll be more involved than the other young players who have filled out our bench in recent years. As Europe will realistically not be happening, there's no real argument for us needing a massive squad. I suspect we probably won't bother using our Euro slot. So we're looking at a final American and maybe one more decent player, if we're lucky. Can't see it getting any better than that.

According to Dave Forrester on the BBL podcast (discussing the salary cap) the league have dispensed with the 4 USA/1 EUR limitation and replaced it with 5 USA…….

I had no idea about this but assuming it's something the clubs were aware of months ago, I'd like to think Riders would have planned accordingly. We don't want the gulf between us and Lions to be any bigger than it needs to be. And adding a 5th American would seem like a pretty easy way to strengthen without spending a fortune.
This has me feeling a little more optimistic about what we might still have left to announce. Though it seems highly likely four of our five starters are already in place.
