RICHARD MCNUTT JOINS PHOENIX IN NEW ROLE

We are pleased to announce that Richard McNutt has joined the Phoenix as the club’s new Business Development Manager.

Richard joins us having previously played professionally across Europe and the UK, before hanging up his boots to run a successful luxury goods business. In his role over the past five years he has experience in marketing as well as business development and sponsorship, including a deal with a current Premier League Football Club.

We are keen to tap into his previous experience of dealing with businesses to increase revenues across the club and to drive the club further, on and off the court. We know he has the best interest of the club at heart and we can’t wait to get going.”

The opportunity to work with Ben and James and help continue to grow this ambitious club back to to the top of the BBL is something I’m very passionate about. In recent years under the direction of the current management, the club has made important steps to a winning culture and I’m confident that my own experience and knowledge can help the club move further in that direction.”

Was a great junior (one of the Ellesmere Port standouts) and it was sad that his pro career was cut short. Would've loved to have seen him stay in Sheffield for longer. Hope he makes a great impact at the Nix

That's a good move by the 'Nix, I wish them every success. (Except against us of course!)

Mackies story is probably one of the saddest what if stories in british basketball that youve never heard of. An absolute legit talent until injury cut him down in college.

Really nice guy too, hope it works out for him and the nix.
