Who are your favourite basketball presenters, pundits and commentators? Who annoys you? And who would you want to have broadcasting and presenting basketball in the UK?

I think the Dan Routledge/Ant Rowe combination as as good as any, including combinations on ESPN and other american networks.
Richard Wilford from BBC WM is also excellent, but does very little basketball currently.
On American Radio, Sandy Clough or 1043The Fan in Denver, gives a very fair and insiteful analysis of the NBA, and other sports.

I really cannot fault the Sky Sports presenters, pundits and commentators. Nat Coombs is a top quality presenter. He's mostly known for NFL and football but he seems to like basketball. Other presenters I like are Mark Chapman and Martin Bayfield but I don't expect to see either of them presenting basketball any time soon.

Jeff King and Dave Elderkin are another good combination. Very knowledgeable, easy to listen to and pretty much unbiased. Other BBL player commentators not so unbiased. There was one who was so excitable I had to mute the volume. Can't remember who though.

Got to agree with everyone else when talking about the Sky Sports set up, It really is top quality,
Our very own Tahir Hajat is becoming an excellent game night commentator, proven by the fact that he did the playoff final and also in part of the snooker circuit
Does anyone remember Henry Mooney at Everton Tigers…..he was funny as, I remember him being late for the second half of the game but he had his Mic with him, He just started waffling some rubbish whilst he ran in and ran diagonally over half the court to get back to the table. It was funnier than it sounds.
For me Mike Shaft may be Legend of the game but he’s so bloody annoying, Totally over the top biased to the home team ( that was paying him that week) or the favourites if it was a big final game… I definitely don’t miss his Oh Baby cry when something not that dramatic happened.

Dan is great. Always has been always will be. Enjoy the whole sky production for bbl. Also enjoy sky's nba production. I think Mo does a good job as an analyst. Gives insightful stuff for the genuine basketball fan without it going too far over the heads of the casual fans. Think he strikes a nice balance.

Genuinely rate Dan Routledge. Hes been commentating the BBL as long as i have been watching. Its a shock when hes not commentating. I like all the Euroleague commentators and I really like Jeff Taylor for FIBA. I also really enjoyed the Womens commentating on FIBA recently from Shona Thorburn and Azania Stewart, fantastic stuff. I also like the current NBA commentator thats been going for the last 15 years or so, the 'PUTS IT IN' guy, cant remember his name. I just like it when he shouts 'JAMES... PUTS IT IN' 'CURRY... PUTS IT IN'. Love it lol.

That's Mike Breen, I'll second that. He's effortlessly brilliant. It's a shame him and Jeff Van Gundy (who is also great) are always on with Mark Jackson, he talks absolute rubbish most of the time.
Another shout for Dan and Ant as well, they bring great professionalism to anything they commentate on. The BBL output on Sky has really exceeded my expectations and is a joy to watch. The team they've settled (Nat, Drew and Keiran) on do a great job. I really enjoy when they're up here at Eagles games, it brings an extra level of gravitas to the night.

Routledge is great. My favourite. Also like the 2 commentators at Plymouth who are very knowledgeable and unbiased. One commentator who impresses is Paternostro when he guests on the microphone. He brings that expertise as a coach and ex player which really adds to my understanding of the game.

Dan Routledge is top quality
BBL so lucky to have him commentating on their sport
I feel sorry for someone that quality who is so passionate about the game to be working in a sport with so little money in it
Is he even able to be a full time commentator?
Not sure?
Something I will add is with his Riders connections you might expect a little bias to show through in his commentaries
But I genuinely have never seen this. You listen to him commentate on Riders games and he genuinely gets excited when our opposition do well against us as much as if Riders do well
I believe it's just his passion for the game itself which shines through whenever he commentates or finds another stat on twitter!!
Brilliant at both!!
