Do eagles have pre-match corporate dinner hospitality at their arena on match days?

Eagles don't even give their legendary players and coaches testimonials
Should we close the thread to save Eagles from further punishment?

It actually says a lot that there isn't another club to try and compare to for either of them

Riders fans post more comments on here...I wonder why?! We lost lots of Eagles posters when they stopped winning everything?

A Tall Man, you do realise that once opened, Pandora's box cannot be closed?
Sam, thanks to your willy waving comment I now have a mental image I can't unsee π±.
Off court, Eagles and it's not even close.

Off court, Eagles and it's not even close. Sorry, life got in the way. Click newcastle-eagles.com/ go to menu in top right corner and select "Eagles Foundation". Check out Pay it forward fund, Active Aging, CVL and Hoops for Health. Eagles web shop is available 24/7, retail shop at Arena is there but just click and collect at the moment. I found Riders web shop by accident. It is not on the main menu. Click on the Loughborough button to find it. While on Loughborough what is the Riders connection to it? I always thought it was a Sports University with its own programs. Plenty there that Eagles are doing that Riders are not. Where there are similar programs I think Eagles are doing more. As I said, not even close π IRF, do me a favour. If you reply to this could you please try and not make it "Eagles pants, Riders best like the majority of your 15 posts in this thread. Remember, off court efforts only. Ta.

I'm only responding to the title of the thread
It's designed to get us to compare
I think I've been fair
But no problem anybody who disagrees with me
It's a thread designed to create a bit of argument and banter
IMO

It's just you appear to be regressing to your Whatsbev version and it can make for a hard read.π Now come on, be fair. Eagles off court offering is pretty impressive yes?

Yes And it beats the rest of the clubs in BBL It beats or matches several aspects of off the court at Riders Perhaps the most important one as well which is fanbase and ability to sell tickets week in week out Might actually be the only BBL Club who could sell decent numbers midweek as well for Europe But where I've claimed Riders to be better off the court I stand by my reasons above It's all good debate though IMO These are good threads for those that care about stuff off the court

I think it's pretty close between the two but they are both good and not so good at different things.
Newcastle do an amazing job of activating a willing fanbase through their CVL. The arena absolutely buzzes with activity every weekend as thousands of kids play basketball on a Saturday and Sunday. It's a perfect setup with the balcony and I love taking my son there every weekend. It's creating a lot fans (potentially for life) who grow up knowing how the game works, which then makes a fan of parents/grandparents etc as well.
Leicester's social media is streets ahead of what Newcastle do and way more creative. Our social media desperately needs a shake up as it's literally been the same since Facebook was invented. I love what Leicester do and it definitely sets the standard in the league (perhaps along with Bristol).
I've attended both arenas and I have to say that the VMA is a more impressive venue than the Morningside. It feels more modern (which obviously it is!) and provides a perfect platform for everything the Eagles do there.
Whichever you choose, they both set the template for what all BBL clubs should be striving towards. That includes London, who despite having bags of cash, feel a bit hollow and built on sand to me. If we had 15 Leicester/Newcastle style teams, the league would be in much better shape than it is.

To be honest the bottom line is both Eagles and Riders as well as most clubs do great things and are successful because of it.
And I'm sure most the other BBL clubs do something in their own ways as well. As for IRFs comments I have to question how he can know how little or how much we do in the community unless he was once an Eagles fans and secretly lived up in the North East?
I'm sure if he actually come up and see what the Eagles do behind the scenes and meet the people that make this club and organisation happend I'm sure he would realise how much work we actually do and have to offer in the community.

I think it's a strength for both clubs regardless
