Obviously "Ruining the British game" :-)
Seriously it sets the target other teams need to be aiming at.
I do wonder how many of the other BBL clubs are carrying out a full review of their operations and understand teh changes they need to make, on and off court, to even become truly competitive with Riders.

It's pretty obvious. Have a good coach, 7 North Americans and 2 GB Intetnationals. Can I have my consultancy fee now?

You forget Good assistant coaches, good medical support, good housing conditions, paying teh players on time, good practise facilities etc etc
As other clubs have shown, it's not just signing individuals, it's providing the enviroment where they work as a team.

Shrewd owners with access to decent finance needed before any of the above Then just as important are great sponsors who are in it for the long term Your bit above only possible once a club has financial building blocks in place Then get the right coach Then build the team

It takes time to build, when Rob joined riders he didn't have an assistant coach. Mark Jarrom joined for the 12/13 season and now Riders have 2 assistants at most games.
Likewise the medical back up as grown as finances became avalable. Also the contribution of Robert Jelly at Jelson, not just in terms of the sponsorship, but also the buisiness advice has played a massive part in the growth of the Riders organisation.

Dominance is great isn't it, saw something similar when lebron won his 10th straight conference final (possibly just 10 in total actually) but whether you like it or not it massively devalues the league, the spl being a perfect comparison.
Someone mentioned Jarram joining in 2013, bet those first 5 years it wasn't either a paid Jon, his only Job or able to sustain him financially. Russ saw the value and invested.
Medical staff is a given, huge bonus to every team but should be the standard at every club.
How many are checking how to compete with Leicester? Maybe 2 at a push, the rest are looking at ways to either survive another year or how to make £1000 more, the pats churning out volunteer led clubs where they make a tidy profit being a prime example.
It would be great if more clubs could compete with the riders but the league won't be a 3 horse race for a long time

It would be great if more clubs could compete with the riders but the league won't be a 3 horse race for a long time That's correct Lions will spend more than Riders again Eagles don't appear to have enough money to spend No other clubs seem likely to have anywhere near enough budget to compete for the league? Both of those clubs regardless what they spend have a really tough job finding a coach who knows how to win in BBL anywhere remotely like Rob knows how to do it As I've said before though the distraction of Europe will help hinder Riders a bit in the league and bring us closer to teams below us We struggled big time before to balance Europe with BBL
