Mr 6000 isn’t a bad alternative to Mr 28 !

Are you talking about Kaboza? I agree in terms of his performance in the Trophy final, not so much in this game though. I still don’t think Robinson is fully recovered from the injury he got at the end of last season. And I doubt he’s been one of the most expensive players this season. Robinson will be one of the best paid players in BBL I don't disagree. All I was saying was that he's not where most of Lions budget is going. |

Apart from the quality of the BBL's feed I have no real complaints. Kelly and Reese were pretty much unplayable, I enjoyed watching them play. Eagles showed a bit of fight but the lack of offense from the bench and no starting 2 guard meant it was always going to be a struggle. Interestingly Lions won the battle of the boards by only a single rebound. Apart from Kelly's outstanding line Fletcher's 15 assists stood out. Pity about his shooting stats. Now with less than two days recovery we welcome Riders. Oh joy.
On the double technical, Gordon was unlucky. No way was that a flop so his reaction was understandable but not professional.

I missed the game last night and was going to re watch it now only to find it is not on BBL Player?
I know as an Eagles fan I didn't exactly miss much but I'm surprised it isn't there.

Just to clarify my point about Robinson. He's still got game but he's no longer VFM. Passing on him for next season will free up both funds and minutes for players on the way up rather than one on the slide.

BBL Player isn’t reliable (no surprise there) when it comes to watching games back later. If they’re not there the day after they do sometimes appear a few days later. But some they never appear at all. I’ve got no idea why they can’t just be made available as soon as the live stream finishes, like YouTube. Or why you can’t rewind/start from the beginning a live stream, again like YouTube let’s you. Not a great platform in my opinion, but it’s not going anywhere because guess who owns the Nunchee platform BBL Player runs on… 777 partners. |

BBL Player isn’t reliable (no surprise there) when it comes to watching games back later. If they’re not there the day after they do sometimes appear a few days later. But some they never appear at all. I’ve got no idea why they can’t just be made available as soon as the live stream finishes, like YouTube. Or why you can’t rewind/start from the beginning a live stream, again like YouTube let’s you. Setting aside any platform issues, I have to give praise to Azania Stewart on the commentary. Made I laugh on several occasions and was particularly good in her interview with Kylor Kelly - and prompted another chuckle when she said "thank you Kelly" afterwards rather than "thank you Kylor". The male commentator with her is still a tad off, but has progressed considerably since last year. |

Not bad and definitely amusing in places, however they have to get a better handle on the Lions bias. Commentators and summerisers should be as neutral as possible. Jeff King and Dave Elderkin, case in point. |
