What a difference a summer can make! The Philadelphia 76ers are in all kinds of trouble this season, having started 2-11. Yes, their big 3 have all missed some games. No, all 3 haven't played together yet. But even so - the team is last in scoring and FG% and sits right at the bottom of the East, right there with the Wizards who most people have forgotten even exist, they're so irrelevant.
The players had a meeting yesterday and have asked Nick Nurse to 'coach them harder' - that doesn't sound good, that they have had to tell him to get on them more. Coupled with this disastrous start, do you think Nurse could soon be fired?

If he does it's on Embiid. That guy is the single worst "star" on any NBA roster.
Lazy, often late to practice and games, and all that load management crap just stinks.

Bigz, that guy in your Tigers team, think he was number 10, put in more effort than Embiid and I wouldn't say he was athletic but he at least tried

I agree, Embiid's attitude since the end of last season has been awful and I actually think rather than firing Nurse, they should look to trade Embiid while he still has high level trade value. I think he needs a fresh start - on top of all those things you mentioned Bigz, there was also the incident where he shoved that reporter and got a 3 game suspension. Feels like he's losing it a bit, so maybe a fresh start is needed and let Maxey take over the team. I never thought adding Paul George would help much as he's often injured and not a proven playoff winner, but Maxey is the future for them.

It would be fascinating to see if they sprang a shock and tried to trade him. With his injury/attitude record woudl his value be what would be expected?
PG is also fairly injury prone and with Maxey down they are suffering.
If Embiid, PG and Maxey get a run together the East is so weak they might sneak in to the playoffs or the play-in.
The 76ers would be rightly annoyed at Embiid glory hunting a medal in the Olympics. He is one player who really should not have played in the summer.
