So PAO had a game with 42,000 fans in attendance last month in an outdoor game, you can see the crowd here:
In Euroleague this was the attendance per game for the Greek clubs last season: Panathinaikos 14,526 Olympiakos 11,323
Despite the above numbers, apparently the league matches are not well attended in comparison. Olympiakos only gets around 3,000 per game to league matches, for example. The fans turn out in big numbers for Euroleague but not for GBL games. Anyone know why they don't turn up for league games?

Because the overall quality of the league is pretty paltry by comparison to the Euroleague, which is the top tier of basketball in Europe. Their domestic league is secondary to them in truth, as it is with a lot of EL teams.

Having been to watch Virtus last season, I can vouch that they have good crowds in the Serie A, largely due to the competitiveness.
Worth mentioning there was a spell where Olympiakos didn’t even bother with a team in the Greek top flight
