Looking forward to this one tonight. Donar are currently 1 below us (7th Group A) in the table and still searching for their first win in the ENBL. Although I hope that doesn't mean we will underestimate them. I hope Josh is back and that injury from Sunday wasn't anything serious. Either that or Neighbour makes a miraculous recovery since Darius is also out of action right now. With it being mid week and Bonfire night I wonder if the crowd numbers will grow compared to the last ENBL game. After Fridays antics as well I pray we get refs that understand the 8 second rule too.

Some Sheffield interest in this one with ex-Junior Shark Sam van Oostrum on the Donar roster.

Wow, Donar put up 11 threes in the first quarter and missed every one.😳

Great entertainment, with the added confusion of shirt swapping so all 3 injured players were on court! Well done Eagles, but not a win for the faint hearted - it could have gone either way up to the last second.

When they said their was going to be fireworks tonight. The only way I could describe that game was "winning ugly".
Groningen were a very muscle heavy team but for 3 quarters we seemed to be leading that game and it looked like it was going to be a comfortable win. Until the 4th Quarter where they turned the tables and made me think we were going to let that game get away from us.
But in the end we somehow managed to prevail and capitalise on Groningens mistakes and missed opportunities at the line to go 3-0 in the ENBL. Credit to Groningen for pushing us as towards the end I was ready to say they deserved it.
Given our next games are against Dziki, Voluntari and then Valemeria this win couldn't have been anymore crucial as whilst we have gotten off to a good start so far. I could definately see us losing atleast 1 of those matches. But regardless of the result the ENBL certainly continues to be a lot of fun for us.
The officials compared to Friday night were okay tonight as well I felt. Apart from that questionable unsportsmanlike call on us when we played the ball we definately couldn't blame the refs if we had of lost tonight. It would have helped if they had put the replay on the screen during the review so we could see what they were looking at.
The crowd tonight despite it being bonfire night was quite good as well and had way more in then the game against Spartak Pleven. According to Stat cast their was 1200 in. In the 4th Quarter it was so loud you'd think the house was packed out. Even Groningen brought a small group of fans who I hope had a good night despite the result.
Next stop a trip to Poland to play former Eagle and last seasons ENBL MVP Ricky Mcgill's team. Hopefully by then we can get Josh back atleast and continue our dominant run as I felt we missed our veteran players being out there.
Overall a fantastic Bonfire Night for the Eagles!

I just looked at our schedule and seen we played Dziki Warszawa on the 26th November in Poland. But Team GB men which Steutel also coaches are playing Greece on the 21st and 24th November.
I hope his commitment to the national team doesn't end up affecting our fantastic run so far in the ENBL.
