The teams who have accepted invitations to the competition are as follows: Derby Trailblazers (NBL) Essex Rebels (NBL) Hemel Storm (NBL) Nottingham Hoods (NBL) Reading Rockets (NBL) Sony Centre Falkirk Fury (SBC) St Mirren (SBC)
So its going to be a random first round draw, could be some long trips if Gladiators, Fury and St Mirren all draw one of Lions, Flyers and 89ers

Last season's top 4 NBL teams plus Nottingham Hoods who have recently announced they have plans to play in SLB. All possible future SLB teams except Essex Rebels which is a university team.

Let's not pretend Nottingham are in there for any other reason than Russell Leverston is there. That spot shouldve been for MK.
Great to see Plymouth is in it, albeit under a different guise!

Be funny if Riders get draw against the Hoods. It would probably be a great watch and interesting match up. Even better if by some miracle that ends up being the final aswell.

Sufficed to say they weren't overjoyed haha.

It would probably be a great watch and interesting match up. It would probably be a one sided whooping. Every team we've played so far we've blown out of the building. Hard to imagine an NBL side causing us too many headaches. Two Scottish league representatives is at least one too many in my view and I'd much prefer to see these lower league sides included in a competition with a round robin phase. But this is certainly a better option than a nine team knockout where two sides have to play an extra round.
