Scored 100, but lost by 2 with Sharks hanging on. Nail biting game but feels like a game we should have won, against a very good Sharks. Don't know what to make of this Sharks squad so far. For most of the first half I was tearing my hair out over (lack of) transition D and rebounding but we were always in the game and shooting 50+% from 3 👀 Nixon can put the ball through the hoop but shoots it far too much and hasn't got the natural decision making to be the long term solution at point guard in my opinion. We have, I suspect, 2 of the most expensive wings in recent Sharks history who are hardly getting a touch of the ball. I suspect there may be a bit of a reshuffle in roster before the championship begins. Mitchell is great when he gets on court. A bit eager to jump - like a lot of rookies - but I hope coach allows him to play through that and learn. Groves had a great game yesterday. If he stays aggressive like that he has bags of potential.

I still think London will be a very competitive team this season, but I'm also thinking we might just have to write-off the Trophy. It wouldn't surprise me if we don't make it to the semi-finals unfortunately.
Yesterday was disappointing, I know the team is still work in progress but they possibly played worse this week than they did last week. Or perhaps the competition was just stronger. I don't know.
On a much more positive note the attendance at the Copper box yesterday was really good, probably about the same as any Sunday afternoon game last season, so hopefully everything that's gone down hasn't impacted crowd attendance and fanbase.

Yeah it’s a funny one atm. Matthews needs more court time and to drive more. He’s a great finisher. Jeffries is obviously a good shooter but his decision making is lacking currently. Too eager to dunk hard when a layup is the percentage play. Also, a lot of silly fouls from him. Mirchell is the most talented big in the league imo. Needs to learn the refs and we need to get him the ball more. I think he’s too athletic and skillful for the vast majority of the other bigs in the league. Just needs to stay in the game more. If we can get our offence cooking more then I think we are a good side. It just slows down far too often for me. Too much dribble hand offs, pick and roll and iso. We play better when we’re passing it around the 3 point line and into the key.

Riders played very well and our defence stopped Lions scoring freely. Certain London will gel quickly and not be so disorganised in future. All coaches will be deciding whether to make roster changes and how to get the best out of the team. Early days but we know your coach is one of the best in the SBL.

Nix look a little lost at times Not rating Holden as a starting PG. he just doesn’t look dangerous bringing it out. Clemons look like he has potential but looking at the bench as to figure out what to do too much. Atwood starting to do things and looks good all over the court, didn’t get many minutes in the fourth tho strangely.. Skylers radar is out a little to. Pretty much nails it. Holden as our starting PG is a big concern, I'm wondering if originally Ben saw it as Clemons but then he has lost confidence in him already. Skyler probably isn't helped by our announcer screaming "SKYLER" as he's lining up his shots either. On that point the constant sound effects and music playing on Sunday was actually unbearable.

Agreed, can't remember us playing music when play is going on plus an over excutable announcer did make it difficult. Have to admit though Salty certainly livened it up near the end!

Something I haven't seen mentioned regarding the Nix game on Sunday. Down to the last 2 seconds Nix threw that long range without any interest from Sharks players, a 5 point win was fine and that last minute 3 was irrelevant. HOWEVER that 2 point loss for Nix again a 5 point win in the previous game gives Nix a 2 point advantage in a head to head situation. Suspect US college players never have any points difference situations. They've just learned its a 40 minute game!!

Made me think why doesn't Clemons throw more 3's too.

Late on the response to the Lions game but a tough one for us, beaten by a better Leicester team.
Without Ovie, and our Israeli import was limping quite badly. I'm hopeful though, we have a strong Montenegran signing and I have heard from a good source we have another strong import on the way. Until then I can't see us winning much..

Really poor showing from Lions. Yes they're a bit shorthanded at the minute and the bench looks fairly weak but there's no way they should be getting crushed like that.
Taylor, Brisker, Rai, Delaire, Sandy is actually a very strong starting five on paper. Brisker is an experienced, in his prime pro who's put up some very healthy numbers in Israel and France. Delaire is a British qualified 6'9" forward who was a double digit scorer in the Pac 12 and averaged an efficient 10 ppg during a G League stint last season. And no one needs telling about Taylor and Rai.
Even minus Soko/Hadzibegovic, I'd wager Lions starting five for this game was quite a bit more expensive than Riders'. Should be doing a lot better than that.
