www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/41530918/hall-famer-dikembe-mutombo-dies-brain-cancer-age-58Man, this one hurts. I loved Dikembe, he was so much fun and a superb defender. What kid growing up in the 90s wasn't doing the finger wag whenever they blocked a shot?! Then there's the famous "Mutombo embraces the ball in the unlikely upset" moment after 8th seeded Denver beat Seattle in the playoffs (thankfully before I became a Sonics fan!) Then there was the time he was trash talking with MJ who shot a free throw with his eyes closed - and made it. And many more memories. Off the court like the article says, he made a huge impact as a humanitarian and helping so many important causes. So sad he's died at just 58.
