I thought it would be interesting to start a thread about British basketball families. It would be interesting to know who these families are and how they're involved.

The first family I want to talk about is the Clark family. Now this is my understanding but please correct me if I'm wrong, because Clark is a very common name so I could have this wrong.
There's Dan Clark, former Team GB legend and now co-owner of Surrey 89ers.
His sister Ella Clark, dual code (basketball and netball) of Leicester Riders/GB and Loughborough Lightning/England.
Their dad Mark Clark, Hemel Storm head coach and former coach of London Lions women.
Am I right? Do I have the right Clarks?

Suppose as a northerner it'd be wrong of me not mentioning the Joneses. Jeff, Callum, James and Georgia. They've not made a bad fist of things... Does Jamell count there now too?

In the 90s there was a family down south called the Cooks or Cooke’s. Dad coached Men’s NL. 2 sons were NBL D2/1 and one was BBL 3pt specialist for Thames Valley and Derby. Daughter was NBL D1 as well. Impressive for one family

In Plymouth we probably have 3 prominent ones past and present that I'm aware of.
The Hatchells
George Hatchell the dad setup Tamar Valley Cannons that ran for years in the NBL that both his sons, Matt and Adam played for. George still coaches the Plymouth Raiders academy and Matt wad the Raiders assistant coach under Jay Marriott and cosched the NBL team too. I believe Adam stopped playing local league last year. Worth noting the team still exists under the name Plymouth Basketball Club but only does youth stuff but very successfully.
The Peards
Matt played for the Raiders and Malta I believe internationally. His nephew Ryan played for the Raiders about 15 years after him as a younger back up pg. Ben was probably the youngest Raiders from the family when he was training with the first team as a 15 year old under Daryl Corletto but would never play for the first team. Joe Peard won a silver medal at the world transplant games a few years back too. All 4 would play for the NBL team in its last season of D3 I believe too.
The Chapmans
Chris and Nick brought the local league back from the brink years ago literally reffing 5 games a week every single week for years. If you haven't fallen out with a Chapman you haven't played basketball in Plymouth as far as I'm concerned. Chris would go on to ref national league and do several finals for nbl1 and wbbl. His wife Lindsay is a very well respected table official and still does bbl, wbbl, aspire and everything in between. She was also instrumental in the launch of our U12 CVL that was launched last year. Chris and Lindsays daughters both play but are much younger.
The Spurriers
I've saved the most important to last! Steve is the chairman of Plymouth Basketball Club and probably spends 50+ hours a week at the club. He coaches the U16s that came 2nd the NL last season and the U16 squad that won the regional. He helps every single coach the club has and knows every single player. The club doesn't exist without him. Like the saying, behind every great man is an even better woman that's his wife Becky who does all the thankless admin tasks that helps the club run. All games are organised, all player registrations and every other thing you don't think needs doing is done. Jacob, one of their sons has just finished his eabl time having played D1 men's as well for Oaklands and Reading the past few years and is now off to ARU. Issac the youngest, capped at England at U15, GB at U16 and as a first Year U18 has just had a fantastic tournament this past weekend for England.
Probably missed a few people but that's all I can think of that have more than 2 family memebers
Edit - Special mention to the Mollards and Widdecombes but I don't know enough to comment
