Koch returns for the Sharks. Going through naturalisation process to become a “Brit” player.
Will be out until November.
No more signings to come so Pipkins, Green, Ramsey, Nichols and Delpeche are all gone.
Interesting looking team for the new season for the Sharks. 11 deep when Koch returns. I think it was time for a reset of the nearly whole roster. Some good players and fan favourites not returning but if we want to win things then we needed to do this.
New signings have good pedigree either from good colleges or strong euro experience.
This is make or break for Atiba I think. He’s been given a lot of cash I imagine and we really need to win something soon.
Also, just to say that Jamell Anderson is missing from the Roster on the first page.

We've needed more height at guard / wing spots for a few seasons which on paper it looks like we have. A lot of the incoming players have good pedigree. Exciting times in Sheffield.

Thibk that's said every single year about atiba isn't it?
Also the latest riders player doesn't look good. A 6 year college player who only averaged 5ppg??? They said it was their twelfth signing too but rosters page makes it their tenth

They said it was their twelfth signing too but rosters page makes it their tenth College PPG can be misleading as college scores are generally low. Some NBA players have average under 10 at college. 6 years also will mean he’s a bit more mature than a 1 and done type college player. And yeah, it’s been said for years about Atiba, hence my comment about it being make or break. If he fails this year to either win something or truly compete then it can’t be said it’s due to a lack of funds etc. He’s completely rebuilt the roster and we run super deep now, on paper everyone seems an upgrade, so if it doesn’t work then there isn’t anywhere to hide.

Well I'm excited about Noah Allen. I sure as hell didn't see us signing a player like that this summer. A 29 year old who once upon a time averaged the best part of 10 and 6 in the G League. Played briefly in the German Bundesliga and has had success in LEB Gold and top tier Mexico. Quiet last season and I'm a little concerned he might somehow be damaged goods. But if he's still got it this seems like a player who could potentially be one of the league's very best.
J'Raan Brooks I'm rather less excited about. Apparently a highly rated prospect coming out of high school but it never really happened for him in college. Another guy who performed well academically and I very much get the sense we've put greater emphasis on that type of thing this summer. Seems like we've targeted team-first players with a brain in their head, something a few of last year's signings perhaps lacked.
Unfortunately good guy or not, this one feels a lot like a waste of an import slot. Doesn't really look like a player who'll add anything much that we didn't already have. Would have much preferred our sixth American to be someone who could address the obvious lack of depth at the guard spots. Will have to hope we've found a good 'Brit' for that job now.

Eagles sign Mike Okaru, another big 6'4 guard who barely played in France B last year but did have a solid debut season in Czechia previously.

Manchester and London need to start signing some players
Could they be hindered by the rules about signing overseas players with them being potentially new franchises?
Also Surrey could be as well perhaps?
Could take them a while to get their squads upto strength?

London probably still have most of their young British players available but they do need to sign some pros too or they're going to be really bad. They shouldn't have too much trouble putting together a women's squad.

Eagles confirm Neighbour returning, he was on a two year contract so we knew it anyway. Hopefully he'll actually be fit this year.

No idea how he will get minutes though, teams targeted him on defence the moment he came on the floor last season. The press release describing him as a key part of our playoffs is funny, he had a negative +/- in all playoff games. Whoever writes those must take Eagles fans for idiots.

I heard he had won the MVP for bench warming I think your mistaken there as I believe it was Scott Spencer who won that for us last season. Got to admit I'm not thrilled on this re-signing but I suppose I can understand it as we will need guys that can play a few minutes and provide cover when we need it most. Atleast with Neighbour we know when he gets going he has the capability to be a great player. Last season though he struggled with injury and at times looked exhausted and unhappy. One game I remember him being constantly out of position. I just hope this season he is healthy and is able to be alot more effective for us.

Although we have had some players we have made better to like Louis Sayers and Stu Thomson. I don't know if it is an Eagles thing or a player/age thing. But the Eagles are known for being one of the teams that looks after players the best and best ran club in the country. Although the revolving door season we had 2 years ago made me wonder if that had changed.

In my opinion you're only ever stealing minutes for him, he's not contributing to a winning team at this point in his career

I think he's so big you notice everything he does, good or bad. Even when he's sitting on the bench you can't miss him. I've probably been aware of him for a few years seeing him in highlights videos, usually shooting open threes or being involved somehow, usually as a screen. He's probably the most discussed player on this forum despite him hardly getting any minutes.
