When I first read this I thought it made me think of the WWE wrestling event.
It sort of got mixed in with the Redeem Team comes to London thread but I'm glad it has a thread here.
I wonder if anyone will actually televise these games or make them avalible to view.
Most likely unless you pay for it on courtsids I doubt it.

Apparently Team GB played Argentina yesterday but their was no mention of it until today.
Good to see some publicity but I'm suprised at the quiet friendly.

I couldn't find anything about it, to watch the game or even to see the game stats. I think it was on Portuguese basketball site FPBTV. I've just downloaded the app and set up an account. I can't find the Argentina game but hopefully I'll be able to watch GB Vs Portugal which is being played this afternoon. |

It works. I can watch Portugal Vs GB on FPBTV and it's free. The game is in real time. I can't slide back and watch what I missed. It's half time now. The commentary is in Portuguese and I can't understand a word apart from "Ward-Hibbert". I don't recognise the other players. They look young. This is the GB senior team but it's clearly a development team but with JWH in there with his experience, probably as captain.

I don't know what I'm talking about. It was a full GB Team. I just don't know many of the players. Hesson and Wheatle were playing.
Portugal 63 - GB 58.
I think this is a 3 team try series organised by Portugal. I don't know a lot about international basketball outside of the big tournaments and qualifiers, but I this kind of thing and the Subway Summer Slam are really good for teams like GB and Portugal.

First half was pretty good but GB are now looking all out of ideas. Pleased to see there's a decent turnout.

As much as that was a nothing game with an odd squad, the tactics was run and gun with no actual plan.
I could see the bench and coach didn't even take the cap off his sharpie..

Finally watched the game back since it was free on YouTube tonight and sort of loosely followed it.
Firstly it was annoying that their was no commentators on for this game.
It was hard for me to tell who the players were for both sides without the MC yelling their name in the mic.
Secondly it did seem odd that although GB was in white and Sudan in Red.
The scorebar had GB in the red colours which confused me until the first basket went in for Sudan.
Apart from that one thing I'm beginning to wonder is does the every team Stetuel coaches have a problem with free throws?
At the times I paid attention we had some shots and even a few techs go our way and yet must have missed atleast 6 baskets at the stripe.
Although that being said when GB was at the line hearing the crowd roar gave me the impression that their was more Sudan fans then British supporters which is bad given that we are the home team.
But on the positive side as someone said its good to see some GB ball action this summer before the real Olympic Games begin.
It's just a Pity our national team cannot get more main stream coverage.
