At least we know what to practice over the summer. Made only 10 from 19 free throws in the first half.

Superb atmosphere here in the arena this afternoon.
Sharks should be commended for making their first season in the new arena a real success. The game day entertainment is very good.
Absolutely brilliant game too.

Riders need a rebuild this summer because we know this set of players cannot deliver. I want some to return but it's clear we are only a middling outfit at best. Recruitment over the off season will be key. Of our big men only Idowu has what it takes in the low post. I'd love Kimbal back but will he be tempted elsewhere? We've seen how much we require more creative guards to make something happen. Well done to Sharks. Absolutely took a huge bite out of us today.

Teddy Allen is not good imo. Ball hog, takes bad shots and makes bad decisions

Suspect he won't be returning next season as a Rider and probably not to the BBL.

He didn’t join his team at the end of the game. Just walked off to the locker room. Very selfish I think.

Teddy Allen is not good imo. Ball hog, takes bad shots and makes bad decisions He can definitely shoot good from outside. Leicester got very predictable however and teams figured it out after a few games. After which he started getting a little frustrated and ended up with lots of fouls. He isn’t the most mobile around the court either point making prob could be better. Leicester have been really strange this year. They didn’t do well recruiting and seemed to be seriously lacking overall. Sheffield on Sheffield on the other hand have come from no where since Jan and the Phoenix bench team beat them in the trophy. Really good achievement to make the Semi’s

Yeah we’ve got what we’ve deserved. A stinking season with bad recruitment. Allen should be a total crowd pleaser but that we debate his positives despite the points output says it all really.

With the current imbalance on club budgets, and lack of a salary cap, it will be very hard for clubs to attract players and sponsors, when 90% of the clubs have no chance of winning the league or trophy.

Very happy with the Sharks performances over the weekend. I'm not going to lie, I thought it would be a struggle as Riders have been one of our bogey teams, but credit to coaching staff and players that they adapted and figured out a way to win and to minimize the impact of Allen (still a massive talent in my opinion). Our pick and roll action was clinical. Phoenix up next who have also had our number this season but looking forward to seeing how we take up the challenge.

Well this was one for the books and I suspect Riders fans will be glad to see the back of what has been a turbulent season for them.
If it makes you feel any better atleast your the first and only BBL team so far to go to a game 3 after losing the 2nd and 3rd match up.
Whilst I still back Lions to win the tittle it wouldn't suprise me if Sharks and Nix on recent form were to rise to the occasion and defeat them in the playoffs.
I would probably say out of the 2 teams Sharks are more likely to come out with the suprise though. After the Trophy final, if Lions were to let Nix show them up on the big stage yet again then I will be lost for words.

Think it's going to be a totally different looking league set up as I seriously doubt 777 will still be funding clubs or the league etc by next season Could get a bit messy for a while I think for everyone else

Not someone I could ever really get behind, because of his flawed personality. Hard to like. Look at how he behaved on Sunday, running after the refs. Mad. Kind of hoping we don't re-sign him even if funds allowed.

Be very surprised if Riders were to offer Allen a deal next season. I'd be even more surprised if any other remaining team in the league would offer him a deal either.

The absence of a salary cap has made it harder for teams to attract good players? Hmmmm. Not too sure about that.
I think it's a bit of an overreaction to suggest that a complete clear out is required at Riders. Game 3 was the dampest of damp squibs but for 9-10 quarters there was next to nothing between these sides. And if you'd told me beforehand that we'd have to try and blag our way through this series without Kimbal, Sharks in two would probably have been my prediction.
There are some perfectly good players on this team in my estimation. Consistency has been a bit of an issue but Thomas, Holmes, Allen, Lall and Idowu have all played well in stretches. If we fix the two pretty obvious problem areas at the 1 and the 5, I reckon we could potentially retain a number of these other guys and come back a significantly improved team next season. Personally I'd favour that approach over another complete reset.
