Well I wasn't expecting that tonight.
After a disastrous week last week it was great to see the Eagles respond and show they still have some fight left in them ahead of the playoffs.
Their was certainly meltdown for a team with wings but tonight it was the Nix who struggled with their performance and didn't look as dominant as they usually do.
I'm not sure what happened at half time with the double tech as their was some commotion round the Eagles bench with Larry and the Cheshire team but nothing physical from what I saw.
But whatever happened their it fired us up going into the 3rd sent Larry on a mission to wreck havoc and send a message to his former team with that cheeky gun shot gesture as he sunk a basket.
I think what worked for us was when we kept it simple.
At the start of the game Cheshire let us get easy buckets driving to the basket then just as easy shots outside.
When we started getting flashy and overcomplicated things with to many passes and dunks was when we blew the shot.
As for Cheshire on the other hand they looked like they struggled defensively and spent to much time moaning and trying to purchase some foul calls from the referee gift shop.
Skylar White looked like he was on whatever Will Neighbour had been on the last few weeks as he looked like a lost big guy out there tonight.
But I like to think for the Nix this game was a warning and a chance for them to get their bad play out their system ahead of next week.
Hopefully now the Eagles will be able to follow up with a win over Giants tommorow and we have a chance at securing 4th if Patriots can also do us a favour.
Was surprising to see them win against Riders tonight which I'm sure Riders fans will be relieved not to have avaliable on YouTube tonight.
But hopefully the Eagles won't take them lightly tommorow and have energy for the final game.
One last thing I liked tonight was the new legendary wor flags and Eagles welcoming back Tosan from the NBA.
The atmosphere tonight was incredible and great to see.
If he's looking for a short term summer job I wonder if we would be allowed to borrow him for the playoffs on loan?
