Bristol down by 8 after the first game meaning they will need to win by 9 or more in Lithuania in order to qualify for the final 4.
Didn't see the game but followed the stats at the 4th Quarter and saw Flyers bring it back with 1 at one point. Looks like Flyers could have easily had the upperhand but let the game slip in the 4th judging by the box score.

Similar story in the second leg, Bristol put up a very good fight but BRS have blown them away in the 4th making it look far more comfortable than it actually was. Shame there'll be no BBL teams in the final 4 but from what I've seen BRS and Bakken are just a little above the level of both middling BBL teams, particularly the domestic players.

Im not sure an overtime win over two legs equates to being a little above the level of the opposition.

Little less surprising after the first leg but hardlines to the Flyers. Looks like it will be Saliu and Bakken will be the first semi finals. Makes me even more gutted we lost as a rematch with this team would have been even more exciting considering the controversial wrong call against Saliu that costed us. But overall both Eagles and Flyers I think did the BBL proud and it wouldn't suprise me if both teams plus afew other BBL clubs continue and consider to play the ENBL in future seasons as a stepping stone competition to more regular contential competition. Although I think for the Flyers their priority wants to be more on getting that arena finally built so they can fit the fans in alot better and not around court as well as get some Sky TV games on at home. But to see both BBL teams enter Europe, qualify for the playoffs and be competitive I couldn't be prouder of what they both achieved.

I think what also suprised me about this competition is yes the BBL ain't the best league in the world and has a hell long way to go before it becomes as 777 say the 2nd best domestic league to the NBA.
But from watching some of the teams from other leagues I would say their are thing that the BBL is better at and things that I would say the contential teams do better.
In a suprise turn of events in one of the other games Royal Liege the team that finished 4th in group B defeated Juventus who topped group A 95-84 in the first game. Which seemed strange considering a shorthanded Eagles team with 5 pro's and a few kids due to injuries beat them a the VMA back in January.
I know their is still another leg to go in that one but I'm now starting to think we would maybe had a better chance and qualified for the final 4 if we had finished 4th in group B instead of 3rd?

The Lithuanian league must be really strong because it looks like Šiauliai are going to miss out on the playoffs (top 8 finish).

Would 1 team winning the league almost every year make it a strong league?
Zalgiris have won every title except 1 since 2010/11.
