Look at how many mentions pats get, in fact if you go back to the summer with all the player announcements try and find all the pats player ones, there is 1 with 5 comments. This forum is quite niche now with very few things getting talked about

I really enjoyed this game. Shame about the result but encouraging for Scorchers to lead for so long. We are good enough to squeak into the Playoffs this year but it does make me very nervous that Giants have started winning more frequently. At the start of the season it looked like they were on a par with Plymouth but they look a cut above now. To be honest, after the last few years it's dreamland to even realistically believe we can win games.
That said - and on the topic of the £ions - I know Dekker didn't play today but otherwise I know/care so little about the team that I have no idea how understaffed they were today. It's strange knowing that, even if we do squeak into the postseason, the "reward" would be to play a full strength and finally motivated Lions team. Of course you always have a puncher's chance, but it feels like the equivalent of Dorking Wanderers drawing Man City away in the FA Cup ...

Tbf the Dorking Wanderers manager provides the best ever post match interviews though: Maybe this is what is missing in BBL? This is an absolute classic interview from when his team got knocked out of the FA Cup this season: fb.watch/pbMchlqQ50/

I so wanted Surrey to take the points from this game and at times it looked as if they might manage it. Credit to Lions they didn't roll over and secured the win. Which team was more exciting and entertaining? For me it was Surrey.

Me being a Lions fan on here I do sadly have to agree. I still watch every domestic game and a lot of other teams, but domestic wins/losses just don't have the same feeling. I mainly just root for Glads to win and Pats to lose

As a London fan I think that's a bit unfair. I follow them in both the BBL and EuroCup, and I've made a deliberate effort this year to make sure I attend both. But I will agree that there's no fun in watching a team win comfortably 90% of the time, so EuroCup does provide more excitement in that respect. And I will admit I've found myself rooting for Surrey more this season than ever before. Partly because I think they're stronger than they've been in a long time, but also because of that excitement factor. So much so, and keep this to yourselves, a part of me actually wanted Surrey to get a win over London in this game.

Reminds me a lot of how I felt leaving the Copper Box a few weeks ago. I hope our 'f#cking shit players learned a f#cking lesson' from that game and that it'll be a different story on Sunday. Because that Riders team, that day, was 'wholeheartedly a bunch of players that were absolutely shit'.
