The only ones I can comment on would be mens player or mens coach and even then it may come across as biased as I'm most likely to go for my own club.
I would have for the first HOF expected their to be a minimum of 3 to 5 starter inductees especailly for coach and player as their are loads of players you can throw in.
For officials as well I can't say I know any officials by name and usually the ones I do recognise are usually for the wrong reasons.
I also wonder if their has to be factors to consider such as no current active players in the BBL or in any other league in order to be eligible like the NBA?

I'd have thought there would need to be several players inducted for the first cohort in order to kickstart the HoF. At the rate of one per year it'll never catch up with the list of those deserving a place. Newcastle have at least four I can think of off the top of my head.

Alton Byrd for the player and Kevin Cadle as the coach would be my choices, but there are literally hundreds of individuals who you could argue till the cows came home deserve a slot, so good luck to those making the selections

I like the idea of this, and I like that it's yet another addition to the All-Star Game event, but I'm really interested in how they're going to approach this.
I understand limiting it to one inductee in each category each year, but I agree that the first year should perhaps be an exception. If this is going to be a respected Hall of Fame there's a lot of 'catching up' to do, and limiting it to one inductee in each category - and by the sounds of it they'll be 'modern day' inductees, will mean this could never be the Hall of Fame it could/should be.

Also what is the qualifying criteria/who selects the entries? When you think about how long the BBL has been around for, there are dozens of worthy entrants. I'd like to see them induct perhaps 2 players and 1 coach from each decade back to it inception, up to 2019 (so not current decade). That would give it a nice kick off with lots of worthy entrants, and maybe see if some of them can even attend and make it a real big event with some old faces turning up.
