Both Riders and Glads have a new player to unveil at tonight's game. Going with my heart and saying we'll beat Glasgow. Nix v Lions is hard to call because you never know which team will be on court for London. However, I suspect they won't want Nix to secure a W and will therefore put out a strong roster. On that basis, I think Lions to take the points.

London Cheshire is one to look forward to, hopefully live up to expectations. The Riders are having a difficult time of it, can't see past a Caledonia win to be honest.

After their performance on Wednesday, I can see London playing a full squad, although with some reduced minutes for some players. They really missed Grantham midweek, and even Soluade who has proven to be a bit of a glue guy. Id be expecting them to bounce back with a win.
Looking forward to the Leicester vs Glads game. Interested to see how the new players fit in. Leicester's new signing looks like quite the player.

Looks like Teddy Buckets is bailing out Leicester, whilst Cheshire are having the same experience as Newcastle earlier in the season when a near full strength London team decides to turn it around in the 4th…..

Wow what a game. It didn't take long for this to become teddy's team.
Can't remember when we last had someone capable of 30 a game

That was fantastic. Didn't believe in Q3 that we'd be able to win the game. Allen changed that. Lall and Thomas both had quiet games but Teddy Allen announced himself loud and clear! 🙂

London game was great, very nice of Lions to give free upgrades to 8 of us season ticket holders for courtside. Managed to be an effective 6th man shouting nonsense to the Cheshire players.
I really, really underestimated Aaron Rai. What a baller and Cheshire are lucky to have him

Well that was certainly an impressive first showing from Mr Allen.I'm not going to get carried away but it's hard not to feel uplifted after the frustration of the last few weeks. He looks like a player that you're going to have to plan for and that's only ever going to help those around him. I've been privately quite critical of Idowu recently but he seemed to be finding life much easier with Allen on the floor. It felt like there was a lot more action happening off the ball and we were actually able to profit off the extra attention he was getting. Probably not too dissimilar to what was happening with Whelan and Moore. It'll be interesting to see what happens when teams have had more of an opportunity to scout and plan for him. For the time being though, the name "Buckets", while a little cringey, is apt.

if i was a riders fan - yep would be happy with the debut of Allen, but at same time would not get to excited by the result as meaning a big change in fortune.
This is a Gladiators side that lost to a Bristol side that has been struggling for a number of weeks and Glads are the one BBL side not able to take advantage. DuBoise when Onwas is not about is not as effective on sharing the ball about - as seen in this game when Onwas fouled out and the game the other week when he was sitting out his ban. Gladiators are still missing a 2nd option to take control of the game at guard and ensure space for our 3pt guys to get open chances or or big guy to dominate off the screens or pick n rolls.
Nice win by Riders - but in context that was a disjointed Caledonia who for a couple of weeks now have not managed to play 30 great minutes, let alone 40min.

I’ve watched the Riders for around 40 odd years now and Teddy Allen’s debut was probably the best debut I’ve ever seen. Maybe after another week of practice he may even start against Giants next weekend.
I don’t really care about the form of the Gladiators, I’m just happy to pick up a W

Allen was amazing, to think he doesnt know the offense, is probably jet lagged and hasnt played aince august, come January he could be very scary. Shame about his past, surprised he was able to get a visa

He got kicked out of one of his many colleges for domestic violence Wasn’t it for a “suspicion of domestic violence”?

A couple of strange comments regarding Gladiators there. Re your last sentence, as recently as 3rd December, Gladiators beat Lions at the O2 in overtime. They played solidly for the whole 45 mins and finished the stronger team. Not "disjointed" that night. And regarding Bristol, Gladiators played them as the final game of a three-leg road trip, away to Bilbao on the Wednesday evening then an awkward journey by public transport for Plymouth away on the Friday, finally in Bristol on Sunday Not ideal preparation. I'm sure the Gladiator players just wanted to be home. We've just signed a new guard, Mike Bothwell, debut v. Riders, give him a little time to get up to speed.
