2 juicy games today.
Riders have started to find better form and I'm sure they'll be wanting revenge for that season opening beat down.
However with Aaron Rai back I'm sure Nix want to maintain dominance as well.
Meanwhile Patriots will be wanting to prove that their win over Lions last week was not a fluke and see if they can upset the Eagles.
While the Eagles will be wanting to record their 3 straight win and make their long coach journey worthwhile.
A great afternoon of games in the BBL.

Not expecting the same score as the last game but still looking forward to this. Watching Riders on YouTube they look a much improved squad, amazing what a difference a few weeks with Rob P does. However still think we're improving and hopefully we'll have Rai back to his early season form.
Second place by 9 o clock tonight?

Whatever that was for the Eagles today.
I would like to order more of it.
A fantastic game for the Eagles evenmore so considering the long journey they made down to Plymouth and our 3rd straight win this week.
After a shaky couple of opening minutes it seemed like Plymouth just couldn't contain us today and the Eagles came out determined and never really looked like we were going to lose control of it.
Some great play by Hibert again as well as Mcgill as it seemed like they struggled to stop us on the 3pt line.
And a suprise standout from Whitfield making a great impact today in this one.
Good to see Kande got his first minutes of the season too at the end of the game.
As for Patriots asides from the fast pace at the beginning they were woeful and looked a far cry from the team that beat the Lions last week.
Although I get a horrible feeling because it is on Sky next week their suddenly going to rock up and play like the LA Lakers.
As I imagine after coming in their house and dominating their going to want to put up some sort of response.
But for today well done Newcastle Eagles!

This game's more frenetic than a Keystone Cops episode. Riders need to take better care of the ball when we have possession. And do NOT give up any more stupid technical fouls!
Got to love our resilience though. Didn't give up when Nix were establishing a decent lead in no time at all. For neutrals this is wonderful end to end play.

Hibert has played well both against Manchester and today against Pats. As for Neighbour he was a good playmaker but didn't step it up until the 4th Quarter. I was suprised Scott Spencer didn't play as he was on the team sheet although when I looked at the end huddle back on YouTube I wasn't sure if he was there or not. As today would have been great opportunity to get him more minutes unless he is injured. |

A win by the Eagles followed by a defeat followed by back to back defeats the Riders makes this an even better weekend for us.
Nix are definitely a strong squad and probably the team that has suprised me the most so far this season since I didn't have them as a favourite going into the season.
Seeing the Trophy groups I have a feeling they should win Group A along with the Gladiators going into the final 4.

Geez don't wait too long to pull the plug russ Ooooo I don't think to many Leicester fans will be wanting to hear you say that. Can't believe you went there. Next your going to say Robbie P will leave by getting offered an assistant coaching job in the NBA. Then all of a sudden the next couple of seasons they start becoming average and then eventually miss the playoffs and struggling to find a coach that fills the void. Then all of a sudden they find themselves reminiscing over past success whilst the team struggles to rebuild and work up to its former glory. All the while they then start to warn the current success team of the league that it will one day happen to them. While they try to deny it and say "nah we will never become that bad." Sounds familiar? 🤣 |
