There's a later post that seems to widen the scope. But that's a little after the fact for me.
I know how Hamilton fans feel now.
I nominated as requested by the original post in the thread.
I'd also go so far as to say Dave Titmuss was nominated by name only, yet he's above.

However as the majority of the members here, probably, don't know who he is, or his contribution to the game, it's very unlikely his, accidental, omission will have any significant effect on the overall results of the poll.

Like Paul (whose post seems to have been deleted) I noticed the tie, Finch and Nurse on 4 votes each. Intrigued as to how this would be resolved I took a screenshot of the locked poll. Mile High's nomination Mark Jarram had one vote. Now Nurse has an extra vote and Jarram does not. Nurse gets into the Hall of Fame and Finch does not. For this to be decided democratically a run off poll would have been an ideal solution. Paul suggested shenanigans by Sam. I am not suggesting that but for the credibility of this forum an explanation is required. Mile High this is your baby, thoughts? |

Someone might have changed their vote? But as it was after the closing deadline I'd be in favour of a tie breaker vote, OR do like the NBA 75 did and add one extra in? Finch and Nurse are clearly both deserving.
Also I'd just add, this is just a bit of fun for people to recognise those they respect in the game. Sure we want it fair and done properly, but Electoral Commissions? Talk of the situation in Ukraine? We're just a small community looking to put in some interesting content here, let's not overblow it. 🙂

Sadly there are some people who, from the tone and content of their posts, are determined to cause agrivation and conflict.
It doesn't help when some people make multiple accounts, with deliberate intention to be disruptive.
However the attitude shown by some members is a significant discouragement to starting threads to encourage discussion here.
In this case, I'll set up a "tie Breaker" poll, that will be open for a short time and allow members to vote for their preferred nominee.

Not convinced banning someone for being annoyed their vote wasn't listed and then stated nobody knows who the coach is was the way to go either though

Hi Tall man - just to be clear, that person was Hersey who is banned but keeps trying to come in and be disruptive, so there are other reasons the account was banned and deleted, nothing to do with this feature.
