Some interesting bits in the fixtures
I like the semis/final being played on b2b days in Birmingham.
Also looks as if games are staggered on weekends - a few 8pm tip offs on a Saturday!

Just been entering fixtures on my calendar and caught out by different starting times for home games, e.g. 7.30pm, 7.45pm for evening performances. That will catch some people out. Prefer a regular starting time for home fixtures. Also only lists fixtures up till the end of October on Riders' website.

Group B in the Trophy is far tougher than Group A! Gladiators will be very happy.

Surrey’s new 5pm tip time is incredibly annoying. We only moved to 6pm a few years ago and that was inconvenient enough!

Well I'm happy we finally have the fixtures out although a lot of tough games early on for the Eagles like Riders back to back and London Lions shortly after.
Mind you I imagine formidable opponents will give us some good practice before we venture into Europe. I noticed around Christmas we have a long period without a game which suggests they could fit a Euro match in there.
And I noticed our annual BBL play in game match will Plymouth from this past 2 seasons has been replaced with Manchester as the final game of the season for us. Hopefully whatever happens this year we won't be scrapping to make the playoffs.
Either way I'm excited for the season to start next month. Roll on Thursday 14th September!

The Eagles highlight must surely be a Friday night home match followed by a Saturday evening away game in Plymouth!

The glaring omission of this season is Riders not being in Europe.

The glaring omission of this season is Riders not being in Europe. Quite happy with that. We need time to gel into an effective team without the costs of competing in Europe and those extra games.
